BCV in August

We are seriously thinking of buying a DVC resale for either BCV or BWV. We like the theming and location of both resorts. For us BCV has SAB and short walk to the activities along the BW while BWV has the attractiveness of the standard view rooms.

Our kids are 9 and 7 and although our last two trips have been in November and December I see us having to switch to vacations in the summer until they are out of highschool. We would probably go in last August staying in a 1BR for 10 to 12 days every other year.

After that with the kids in university (hopefully) DW and I would start taking trips with just the two of us where would only need a studio and would want to stretch our points as far as possible.

We would be happy staying at either resort. Is BCV busy enough in last August that we would need the advantage of the 11 month booking window to get the 1BR for 10 to 12 days?

BCV is popular during the summer months for obivous reasons. This is my first trip during the August month though. I booked at the 11 month window and had no problem, of course. (Just like you, we have now stopped taking the kids out of school. As they get older, it just gets harder to do so without feeling the "guilt" I typically feel,lol.) So from here on out, summer time.

We own at the BCV and i love the themeing. Our youngest son really enjoys the pool and it also has imho the best and longest waterside. They have an activities director who usually arranges water games, ie water polo, volleyball for all ages.

We usually go the end of august for 9 nites in a two bedroom, sorry can't answer your question about the difficulty getting a 1 bdrm at the 7 mo window since i usually book at the 11 mo (we like the dedicated two bedrooms and i'm always looking forward to our next tripj)
