BCV for Christmas '09!!! Update 1-4-10 We're back!!!!!

Hi Coach; We'll be checking in on 12/27 thru 1/02. This will be our first Christmas week visit as well, and I'm a little stressed about the crowds. I thought we had a handle on crowds with summer visits, but now I'm not sure I keep telling my family not to have any expectations and just be there for the scenary change that's not there other times of the year... if we get on two big rides a day, we can call that a successful day!

Maybe you should plan some days or hours to not even go to the parks. From the other posts it looks like there are lots of activities for the kids.

Wow, Christmas (and New Years for some) at WDW. Even with the crowds that's pretty special.

Hi DenLo; Yes that is part of the plan. We're getting a 5 day PH. I think we could get by with 4days, requiring some 'forced' relaxation... but DH feels that the cost difference is not worth not having the extra day to work with. My daughter will also celebrate her 15th birthday on NEW YEARS DAY.. so that will be a new experience as well!

We are bracing for the crowds as well.. we will tell our kids (it is going to be a night-before surprise Christmas Present to them) that we are going for the scenery, and to celebrate Christmas at Disney.. Not so much for the rides. This will be our third trip to Disney this year, so they should be ok with just an occasional ride here and there.

Me too! I keep thinking - I'm so excited for Coach81 and your family! Wish I was going again this year. (I was just wistfully thinking in the car this morning, well last year at this time, it was only 5 days until we were leaving for WDW!).

It is going down TONIGHT!!! All the clues will be placed.. all participants- Paw Paw and Gan Gan are ready with their clues for the phone call, Brave teacher (a fellow DISer) is ready with her script, and another relative is ready with her facebook clue to send to my oldest!!! As soon as I get back from my soccer game tonight.. I will video tape the entire thing (10 clues total).. it is going to be great.. the boys HAVE NO IDEA!!! I told them last night and this morning that I had a "surprise" for both of them when I get home.. It is going to be magical!!!

By this time tomorrow.. we will be in Disney!!!!!

Awwww this sounds so special !!!! The moment when your boys figure it out is going to be priceless !
