There have been several recent posts asking about Epcot views from BCV.

If you look at WebmasterDoc's color-coded map
(http://disboards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=257950),
the Epcot views are in green.

By "The Spur" I mean the wing that is green on one side and yellow on the other.

The green side of The Spur has the most direct views of Spaceship Earth, but Illuminations is a very indirect view. It is difficult to see it sitting down -- you pretty much have to stand at the railing and look to the right, but if you do you can see all the fireworks. We had such a room.

The next segment of green rooms on the Main Spine (above the spur on Doc's map) directly face World Showcase and Illuminations. These rooms have the best view of Illuminations. Though I've not been in one of these rooms, we could watch people watching Illuminations, and they were looking straight ahead. My best guess is that they can just barely see Spaceship Earth by looking to their far left, but it's probably just as bad as seeing Illuminations was for us.

The final segment of green rooms at the end of the Main Spine (near the parking lot) should have indirect views of both SSE and Illuminations, as their viewing angle is between the extremes of the other two sections.

On this side of the building you do get some noise from traffic on Epcot Resorts Boulevard, which runs past BCV toward the Boardwalk. The traffic is is light but has a high proportion of service vehicles (buses, etc), since guests have little reason to drive from the other Epcot resorts to Boardwalk. As the road passes BCV it begins to descend into a cut in order to go through a tunnel under the Epcot walkway/waterway; this may help to mitigate the traffic noise. In any case the noise was not a major distraction for us (5th floor of spur). We barely noticed it in our room when the balcony door was closed.

I'd love to know the room number (and size) of those rooms with the huge balconies. The ones I've noticed would all be pool views. They are arranged in the "curves" of the resort above the entrance doors. One set would be above the entrance to the Breezeway and the other set seems to be nearly above the entrance that leads to the elevator.

There may be other rooms with these big balconies, but I've only noticed the ones on the Dune's Cove pool side.

Anybody have any information about these rooms?

erikthewise.... Great explanation of the Epcot views at BCV, just wanted to add the area you refer to as the final segment of green (the rooms right over the canel) really do have an awesome view of Spaceship Earth, I could have the curtains open while I was doing dishes and see Spaceship Earth directly out the window. The view of illuminations is really good also, it is off to the right, but I would sit on my balcony with my chair at an angle and watch the fireworks. The road is closer to these rooms though, it is right below you.

Also, I have stayed in the rooms referenced in red in docs map. These higher floor rooms have a great illuminations view, they are quiet woods views, no road noise at all, but no spaceship earth view either.
