We have a studio booked at BCVs in September. We have requested a High Floor and Epcot View...what are the chances of being able to have a view of Epcot from a Studio?

Thanks!

I have made the exact same request as you and member services told me that only 20 % of all rooms have an epcot view so figure out what percent of all rooms are studios and take 20% of that and you have your awnser in the form of percentage.

by the way what week in sept. Ill be there aug 28 to sept3!!

The standard views have the best view of Epcot and 20% of the BWV are standard views so that is where the 20% is coming from. You will have a view of certain parts of Epcot the higher things like the effiel(sp?) tower in France etc but you will have a wonderful view of the Illuminations fireworks. We have found that the SV that are about 1/2 down the hallway have really good views of the Epcot fireworks but then so do some of the PV rooms have a view of the fireworks but not as good as the SV. If you get a standard view all the way down by the tennis courts you will have a long walk but a wonderful view of TOT and can also see the Fantasmic fireworks and hear the whole Fantasmic show. I will be there again in Sept also, can't wait! You will love BWV, it is a wonderful resort! Have a great trip! :D

We will be in WDW the very end of Sept after our cruise...just wanted to clarify we requested the Epcot View for the Beach Club Villas.

There will be two Epcot views, from what I've seen.

One will be a view towards Spaceship Earth and the Imagination pyramids. There will be a small number of these views.

The other will be a view towards the sky over Illuminations and will be available from most rooms on the side of the resort opposite the pool area.

Disney has taken great pains to increase landscaping to limit views of backstage areas of Epcot, so true glimpses of the park will be limited, but the view towards Illuminations should be plentiful The landscaping will certainly limit views of buildings inside Epcot except for those mentioned above.

These are impressions from my recent exploration around the resort and are not from any first hand observation from inside a room.

Good Luck!

(Nice to see you back on the boards, Scottie!)

So then what kind of view do the "preferred view" studios have?

The BCV's don't have standard and preferred views like other resorts. When booking with points there is no view catagory at the BCV.

Ok then! Thanks!

Does anyone think it helps to request an Epcot view?

If you want a view of any portion of Epcot, you will have to have an Epcot view as the other available view is Pool View- which is on the opposite side of the resort and looks over the BCV pool and parking area tpwards the Yacht Club.

There is no Standard or Preferred classification at any DVC resort except BWV.

Hi there everyones,

I to requested a Epcot view on the 7th July for 11 nights studio. We shall just wait and see. I intend to take many photos.

I just returned recently and walk through and around BCV. Here is what appears to be the reality of an "Epcot view." About 30 to 40% of the rooms actually face in the direction of Epcot. However, reality will be that very few will actually be able to see much of anything at Epcot. Along that entire side, between the resort and Epcot, are a huge number of very high trees--it is more akin to a woods view at WL and almost like a forest. Actually seeing something clearly at Epcot is likely something that can only be done from some low number of top floor rooms.
