Hi ,
Wonder if anyone can advise me ?

Our home resort is OKW and we normally have 2 full weeks at OKW.

Next May (15th) we will be checking in for 2 weeks , but my DD has asked if we could have a 3 or 4 night stay at BCV during our stay.

Probably first 10 night OKW , then 4 at BCV.

What are our chances of getting a 2BDR at the 7 month booking window for BCV in May ?

Also , do you suggest we book our 14 nights at OKW , then switch the last 4 nights if the availability is there ?
Is this how you do it ?

Thanks

Sam Jubb:)

That's how I would do it. If you do it right at 7 months, I think you'll be OK. Be aware that there are 2 sorts of dedicated 2 bedrooms at BCV..one with a Q and a sofa bed in the second bedroom and one with 2Q's in the second bedroom. I don't know if you'll be able to get a dedicated 2 Q's at 7 months out, but you can always waitlist.

Thanks Bobbi ,

I would want the sofa and the one Queen anyway .

Fingers crossed then !!!!!!!!!!

Well, if that's the case, what do you think about lock-offs? If you'll take one of those, I'll bet you won't have to waitlist!.... of course, I'm guessing and I believe in Pixie Dust!pixiedust:

PS. I also think that since you want 4 nights, you have a better chance than a full week. Be flexible!

A lock off would be fine , that is what we get at OKW , my Mum & Dad have the studio , and we get the one bedroom .

Thanks for your advice , and the pixie dust !!!!!!!! ;):flower3::flower3::flower3:

Hi Ellie,

As you are an owner at OKW I have some questions for you.
I am an owner at SSR but we would love to have a change and stay at OKW next year. We are bringing our friends over with us and will be staying in a 2 bedroom villa.
Can you recommend an area of OKW? We like the look of the river view villas where the boats go by and how would I request one of those villas.
Also are there pool areas other than the main pool area by HH? And we would like a top floor villa. Do we request 1st floor or top floor when we speak to member services?

Many thanks

Sam: We made a reservation at 7 months out at BCV for this year (end of May for nine nights starting a few days after Memorial Day) and had no problem.

Lisa: Just a reminder, OKW doesn't have elevators in most buildings. So if you request a top floor, you'll be taking stairs and not elevators to move your stuff to your villa. Just ask for Trumbo Canal if that is what you want. There are pools at South Point, Turtle Pond and Miller Road as well as the pool at the HH.

We got a reservation for a 2 bedroom at BCV last year beginning of May, no problem. Good luck !!!!!

Thanks everyone for tips !

We always request buildings 23-29 at OKW , just a short walk across to HH and handy for the Peninsular Road bus stop .

We ask for 2nd floor rooms - just make your requests to member services and they note everything down on your reservation.

We also got a 2BR at BCV in May 2008 and we booked at the 7 month window. We got a dedicated 2BR with the Queen/sofa bed in the 2nd BR. More good luck to you, OP!

I would say your chances are good if you do it at exactly 7 months. I am an OKW owner and have done this a couple of times in to BCV (and others). I even did this successfully at BCV in Aug for a 2 BRV + Studio (which most said would be impossible).

Also , do you suggest we book our 14 nights at OKW , then switch the last 4 nights if the availability is there ? Is this how you do it ?

What I would do is I would make 2 reservations at OKW; the first being for your first 10 nights and the second being for the last 4 nights. I would do this so that you can easily transfer the single reservation without having to cancel the whole thing and then make 2 seperate reservations. Additionally it will make creating a waitlist that much easier should you not get it right away. BUT - you also risk being moved after day 10 within OKW for the remaining 4 nights (2nd reservation) if you are unable to switch it and if a waitlist didnt come through either. I would say it is the worth the risk as the likilhood is high, that you will get into BCV.

That sounds like a good idea about the 2 rerservations - Thanks everyone !
