We attended the BCV Annual Meetig today. My laptop has DIED and I'm reporting from a Blackeberry so this will be brief. If there are any questions please ask. Q
Jim Lewis called the Directors meeting to order at 3:00 pm. In a tightly scriptwed meeting, with no audience participation allowed, the proposed Annual Dues were accepted with an additional .0366 per point for the additional taxes for 2006.
The Members Meeting followed with the board approving the proposed budget. This represents a 1 percent incrrease in the operating budget plus an 8 percent Cap Reserve increase and a 9 percent property tax increase.
There will be new DVD players in all studios, new sleep sofas, new linens (250 thread count sheets), new towels, and new amenities (H2O+ products).
I had the opportunity to ask DVC treasurer Lawrence Smith about the HH increase and got a full report about the increase for 2007. The increase was for an unexpected advance of Capital Reserve expenses that needed immediate attention.
If anyone has any specific questions, please ask.
Enjoy!
