BCV and coffee?

Hi!

We are heading to BCV in a few short weeks and I have an important coffee question!

We will be staying in a studio and I know we will have a coffee maker (not sure if it is 4 or 8 cup....anyone know?)

Anyway......I am the type of person that has a cup of coffee before doing anything! If I get a refillable mug, how far away is it to where I can get coffee? Also, how long is it open and does it even have coffee? Or should I just bring my own?

There is self service coffee makers set out at Beaches and Creme. It is a fairly good walk from the villas. It depends on you, my mom loved getting up in the morning going down to B & C and then walking back to the room via the beach well everyone else was still getting ready. She just enjoyed being in the Florida air in the morning.

If you don't feel like taking a 5 minute walk to get your coffee, bring your own and make it in the room.

I can tell who the coffee drinkers are!

Do you know if it is a 4 cup or larger coffee maker in the room?? Just wondering the size of filters to get!

We had the 10 cup in our 2 bedroom, I would assume that all the rooms have the same one.

There is coffee offered in the bar off the lobby at BC. I don't recall the name of the bar area, but it is on the other side of the staircase from the Cape May Cafe.

A bit closer than B&C, and they refill the coffee cups too.

We were there in Nov,our studio had a 10 cup Mr Coffee Commercial coffee maker. DW and I have a cup or two in the morning as we get ready for the days events and rather then fill up and then carry around all day an empty plastic mug, we bought at our local "BJ's" disposable cups with lids. This way when we leave the room,we can take a cup with us and then just trash the cup.

When we were there November 11-15, they had discontinued the breakfast at Beaches & Cream and just had coffee, milk, juices and assorted pastries in the lounge off the lobby by Cape May Cafe. I don't remember the times. I don't know if B&C will be open for breakfast during busier times but I missed having a place to refill my mug before 11 a.m. when I spent the day at the pool.

I brought along Folger's coffee singles for my DH to use in the microwave. He likes these and uses them at home too. We enjoyed walking over to the BW Bakery and eating outside by the water.

Now that you have been told where to get coffee, I will attempt to answer your actual question. If it is a 4 cupper and you want a 8/10, just call and ask housekeeping for one. I have only stayed in a studio once and that was at OKW and I did have a 8/10 cupper. The filters are round ones. Bring coffee with you as the coffee in the resort stores is outrageously priced.

Just an FYI, that breakfast bar gets very busy, and there can be quite a line. Not a good thing if you're waiting for your first cup of the day.

Thanks again for the replies! I am packing coffee to take along. Actually Dunkin Donuts has a special and I am going to pick up a lb or two to take along.

Gail.....I never knew I could request a bigger coffeee maker! those 4 cuppers just don't do it.....especailly if there is a nip in the air!

We have stayed in BCV's twice (in studios) and had a 10 cup coffeemaker both times. Just remember to take your own coffee and filters! It's wonderful to have all the coffee you want to start your day.
