I recall hearing that about relocation when we wwere there on our honeymoon.
We were standing at the dock at MGM, waiting for the boat back to the BC. There was a small (about 2 ft. long)alligator lounging in the swampy, grassy area off to the side of the dock. The CM told us that "when he's big enough, he'll be relocated". They do keep them on WDW property according to that guy. Just an area where there aren't any guests.
I would agree that feeding an alligator is dangerous, as it does take away their fear of humans, and eventually, you might have that alligator looking at you through your 1st floor room's patio door!!!!
