BCV Add on @ $80/pt

I am curious...who is thinking of adding on to their current BCV points at the $80/pt. before it goes to $84? Please remind me--what is the minimum you can purchase for an add on?

We just added on 100 points. We took our first trip home a couple of weeks ago and realized we would want more points, Since the price is going up very soon and BCV seems to still be selling fast, we decided to do it.

I believe the minimum add-on is 25, but 50 if you want to finance.

We joined DVC in July. I wanted 150 points, DH 200 or more, so I reluctantly went for the 200. After we booked our cruise for next July and had to borrow from 2004, I realized that DH was right, we should have gone for more points. So...... we just added another 100 at BVC. It was something we should have done from the beginning and I am happily eating crow!

I have recently been in contact with my DVC guide about an add on and I am waiting for the papers to arrive for an add on at BCV. The minimum amount of points for an add on is 25 but the minimum amount of pts for an add on if you want to finance through Disney is 100.

Deep, I thought if you financed through disney you could get 50 pts min. for add-on. You said your guide said 100 min so I guess disney made another change. Anybody know if this is true?

That would be a new policy, as I'm certain the minimum for Disney financing used to be 50 points.

I think the minimum to take advantage of MB in the past may have been 100, though....

I'm in the process of an add-on of 30 points for a total of 300 points at BCV. My guide told me on Wednesday that I can purchase a minimum of 25 points but if I want to finance I have to purchase 50 points. Annmarie

We are going to do a 50 point add-on at BCV, we will do 25 points on each contract, and will have 2 175 point contracts for a grand total of 350. We will be using 375 points per year, but we have enough banked from this year that we won't need to borrow for 5 years.... longer if we do a 350 point cruise every now and then. I guess we can live with that!

Yes, we are $500 poorer for not buying these points when they were at $70, but that is not the end of the world either. Hindsight is 20/20 after all!

I just did an addon at BCV, once they went on sale for NY. I am still waiting to close, so unless the policy changed in the last three or four weeks, the minimum for financing addon is 50 points.

I feel great about my 150 Pt. Add-On at BCV. I bought early September on NY State residnet's special offer of 75 bucks per point plus an additional 5 bucks off per point towards your downpayment.

I thought my guide said 100 pts for financing through Disney but I could very well be mistaken because I am not financing my add on so I was not really focusing on that. Maybe it was MB that was 100 pts, I know I heard 100 pts somewhere in our conversation. Sorry for any confusion.
