Re: the villas on the 1st floor
Does anyone know whether you can walk out from your patio to the quiet pool?

I was just there last week - I suppose you could, but you might have to walk around / over a low bush or two. In my case the hotel exit door to the quiet pool was very close. Have a great time!

Assuming you are on the side facing the quiet pool, you can. You might have to step over some shrubs but its easily done.

And in order to get back inside you'll have to leave your door unlocked. Personally I'd just use the hallway and regular door - climbing over shrubs and walking across the grass doesn't have any appeal to me.

But you can not lock the door behind you.

And you never know, there might be a snake in that grass.;)

I'd agree with you on this. BTW, is this Sue? Of the famous trip-reports?

yes you can
I had a room facing the quiet pool (actually closer to the parking lot) this past April

We had a first floor room by the pool at BWV Spring break. We had 6 kids with us who very much utilized that feature. It was also great for me to check on them. (Note: older kids, don't want to get flamed for leaving them unattended). If we all left the villa then we used the lobby.

this is exactly what we did.

They plant the shrubs around the patio to discourage walking through them. It damages the shrubs and can create mud in the villa when you walk through the grass and shrubs.

I would love the poolside feature but I don't like first floor rooms. Too many creepy crawlies.

I spent 1/2 hour one time chasing around a slamander at SSR becuase DW and DD were freaked out:eek: . After that I always request not first floor.
