We (Myself, DH and 27 Y.O DS) were at the BCV on a cash reservation (I WISH I were an owner) in a 1 Bedroom. I've seen the critical reviews here on the DIS and I was a bit concerned. My DH and I stayed here in February in a 1 bedroom and we have also stayed at OKW in a 2 BR in the past (Larger group). I was a bit concerned about 3 adults in this unit, but it was wonderful - no problems at all, we had plenty of room. We were in Villa 473, with absolutely no problems at all! Water pressure was great, no ants, no mold, air conditioner worked fine, housekeeping was great!
In addition, there was constant - upgrading - while we were there. They were painting trim, stair wells etc. Also on Monday 11/10, they had the area near the Conservatory all the way to the Front Entrance motor court blocked, and they installed scaffolding on the "tower" on the main building.
Christmas decorations were up and beautiful.
It is a wonderful resort and we so enjoyed ourselves. We would go back in a minute. Any questions.
PS I saw the aligator in the canal - but "he" was gone before I could show the others.
Villa 473 is an "Epcot View". It is right over the canal (literally) so that there are no tree/foliage barriers to the sound of the road. That said, with the balcony doors closed this is not a problem. Wonderful views of Spaceship Earth! We all also enjoy watching the movement of large turtles each day, especially the morning!
How many points would it take to "live" 12 months a year in a BCV ?
