do i need a aero bed on top or is it a good 1, for 2 kids for 5 nights...

I haven't been to BCV but if it's the same kind of sleeper sofa found in VWL, I'd say it will do for kids. It's your 'typical' sleeper sofa with a bar in the middle. It's not the most comfortable things to sleep on but I don't think small kids will mind :p

I had no problem. I shared one for 5 nights with my dd.

We had the "older" version in our BCV Studio when we stayed there in May. The kids slept sideways on it b/c it was so "warped". When we were at OKW in a 1 br in Dec, it was the newer sofa bed and was quite comfortable according to DD.

Hello: I slept on it for a week and it was pretty good. The only thing I didn't like, was the bottom sheet would not stay tucked in all night. I'm a very active sleeper. Good-night.

My kids (11 & 9 at the time) complained about the sleeper sofa every night. I did know until after we returned that we could have requested an egg-crate type mattress topper from Mousekeeping.

Can you request the egg-crate mattress pad at any DVC resort? And is there an extra charge for it?

Yes - but supply is limited and they are given on a "first to ask, first to get" basis

No. :)

Best wishes -

My three children and I stay in a 1BR unit at BCV for about a week each year. I love staying there, but the sofa sleeper is awful! My two sons (12 and 8 yo) sleep on it and really don't complain, but they roll to the middle because it is so flimsy/out of shape. I really do wish they could upgrade these.

For some people, a sleeper sofa is not comfortable enough. Our kids (teens now) are all sound, easy sleepers so they are okay with nearly any sleeper sofa. Not everyone is like that.

If the resort does not have a satifactory topper and/or bedboard to slide under the mattress, then slide the mattress right off the frame onto the carpet. Sometimes, the mattress is held in place with ties - just undo them. Fold back the sleeper frame and use the mattress on the floor.

This is not convenient but it'll provide much better sleep in a pinch! At least everyone will awaken rested, especially older, bigger people. :)

I feel that the sleeper sofas (BCV and BWV) are horribly uncomfortable. This year we will be bringing our own foam mattress topper. There is nothing worse than not getting a good nights sleep.
