Yeah! I just had one night at RIV fill for me in March.

I can now switch the order of my trip with SSR last.

I was now able to book an extra njgut since our flight doesn’t leave until 5 pm and we won’t be homeless that last day from 11 am on!!

Man, you guys are going to have to teach about this waitlist thing when we get points in a few weeks. We will be going in May and it looks like we will end up having to book SS for the 5 nights but we would love to stay at Poly or GF for at least a few of the nights or Boardwalk/Beach Club

If I book say 5 nights at SS but have a waitlist for 3 at Poly and it becomes available does it automatically cancel those three days at SS and switch them to Poly?

Yes, stalking means checking many times.

Not necessarily. You would have to have the SS reservation in two parts, and you would have to indicate that when the waitlist comes through, it should replace the three night SS reservation.

So waitlists work basically by having a virtual “queue” of people who wait for a reservation. When one person cancels a room, it gets checked between the waitlists and if the reservation matches someone in the front of a line, they get it and move on, and that line either empties or gets moved up one space.

The “queue” you join is based on a specific room type for a specific set of date(s). So, for example December 2nd to December 6th in a BWV Standard Studio is one waitlist. December 2nd to December 6th in a BWV Boardwalk Studio is a different waitlist. So your waitlist is only based on a specific set of dates in one room type/view.

For you to get your reservation, all days must be available. You cannot book for only 2 nights of a 4 night waitlist, you have to have all 4 nights show up.

You can tell a waitlist to replace a reservation, but that includes all days on the reservation, not just the 2 or 3 on the original reservation.

Just keep checking the website and use your 2 waitlists! I wish you luck.

If a waitlist comes through, it replaces the entire reservation that you told it to. Splitting it up would be a good idea.
