BCers heading to WDW

c&m – I called Richmond Ctr and they checked their database – nothing. Oh well, will keep my eye out this weekend when I’m out and about and report back if I have any luck. Perhaps there is just not enough demand for them in these parts for stores to carry them.

Thanks for checking! You saved me a trip to the mall. :thumbsup2 But how disappointing not to have it when you need it.

I don't remeber them being that exspensive to buy at Disney World (under $10.00 each) and then if they break you can go to any vender in the parks and they will repalce it with a new one.

Also this will cut out one more thing to pack.

When we were at Disneyland in March, I thought I saw them for $12 USD. You're right...maybe it's just worth it to buy it there and have one less thing to pack.

The meds I normally take for motion sickness are not available in Canada anymore  But they told me the same meds are available across the border... soooo Oh my way down we will have to stop somewhere to grab them and maybe a calling card so we can call home at a cheaper rate.

Any ideas where the easiest place to stop would be? I have driving down there a couple of times but it is always at night an I haven't really looked around.

Thanks...

My first thought is to stop at Wal-Mart in Bellingham, but I ran a quick google for you and the link will take you to the results for all drug stores in Bellingham. You can also get a map to whichever store you choose using that link

If you want somewhere easy to get to from I-5 there is a super walmart on route to seattle; they do have a pharmacy but i don't know if they have the meds you need? Are they an over the counter type? Personally I prefer Target but that's just me...

the thing with me; i just go places, i couldn't tell you the street names for any of the other shops we go to but I've found they are pretty good in the US to position stores just off the highway. :thumbsup2

I assume you're flying from SEATAC??? If you are, then you have to pass by the Target in Marysville, at exit 206. Costco is next door to it. Target opens at 9am.

I think the Super Walmart that TagsMissy mentioned is the one at exit 202 (the same exit as the Seattle Premium Outlets).

Yes, we are flying out of Seatac staying at the Marriott, I will print a couple off along with my maps and have them ready so we can stop along the way... It is just bonine that I need to pick up... they used to carry bromine I think it was called here in Canada but have since stopped for whatever reason.... I have a hard time with Gravol it makes me feel sicker for some reason... Might have to pick up a couple packages so I have some extras.

How long before your trip does your package ( with lugage tags, vouchers & ME info) from Disney arrive? Does it take longer to get to the west coast?

We leave on Aug 24 and received everything in one package over two weeks ago. So for us it was about 3 wks prior to departure and the docs were sent from the U.S. because we used a Disney TA there.

I know I have posted about our stay (we are at POP by the way) and am glad to see we will have some fellow West Coast Canadians in the area!

I have been reading a lot about flights and DME tags.. we received ours just a few days after the 45 days mark with the luggage tags (hard ones) arriving a week later.
We fly to Florida often and ALWAYS from Seattle I usually pay about $200.00 cad. roundtrip with one stop this year I booked $72.00 (usd) each way (airtran) one stop. And for our other trip $285.00 R/T cad. non-stop both ways (Alaska booked through Delta).
