I am planning a trip with DH and DD for the fall and can't decide which resort. We have stayed at all the moderates and all the MK resorts with the exception of WL. I am looking towards the Epcot area, but can't decide. Our DD will be a little over 2 years old. Where would you stay?
Thanks.

We stayed in BWV and absolutely LOVED it. It was beautiful and for the little one they have things going on in the evening if you're not at the parks. I can't comment about BC because we've never stayed there but I can say that you would love the BW.

BC - it has access to Stormalong Bay (which is awesome) and is less "formal" than YC (or so everyone says), which may be appealing with a smaller child (although we have stayed at YC several times with kids under 3 and never had an issue).

They are all deluxe hotels in a great location, however, so you can't go wrong no matter what you pick.

I think with a 2 yr old, I would recommend BW before BC or YC. The really cool thing about BC & YC is the pool complex, storm-along bay, which is well beyond a 2 yr old's ability to appreciate. At BW you will be right in the middle of everything, and a quick walk ( if you have your stroller) or boat ride (which will be heaven for a 2 yr old) to Epcot and MGM. She alos might be amused (or perhaps terrified) by the clown head at the end of the slide at the feature pool (no I don't think she should ride it).

Another thought might be the Swan or Dolphin in the same area. I little less of the Disney theming "magic", but still Disney property and very nice hotels in their own right (we like the Swan for the bigger beds). A drawback to these two is less of a family feel to them due to the constant flow of conventioneers and other business folk. Then again, there are generally better rate deals to be had at S/D than at BW or YC/BC.

I would say the BW. The pool area is easier to manage, and they do have a little kids pool area. It's nice to have the BW so close at night, especially if you tend to hang "around home" at night. You can walk down for a quick ice cream, stroll, see the entertainers etc. We have never had a room that was too noisy at either the BWV or BWI.

I love the BC also, but Storm along Bay is HUGH with a little one, and it is a good walk over to the BW.

Sorry, but I respectfully disagree. Never stayed at Boardwalk, so I am not familiar with their pool, but SAB is not too much for a 2 year old. There is a large shallow area with a sandy bottom and a fake sand beach that very little kids just love. Sure, they can't do the whole pool, but this one area is very large and great for little kids (my daughter would grab one of the buckets and shovels lying around and spend hours filling that up and dumping it out).

Also, Boardwalk is a five minute walk, at most, from BC. You are certainly closer to the Boardwalk from BWI than you are from BC, but it is not a long walk at all to get there.

I've stayed at BC, YC, & BWV. All of them have special touches but I remember the halls at BWV to seem to be neverending. It was quite a hike to the room. BC is a little less formal but there are a lot of kid running around most of the time. (Hey, it's Disney) We took our 2 year old last year to YC. He loved it!! The sandy area at SAB was perfect for him and there is a small play area just near the sand bar. He loved the balcony and it was quite safe with high bars in front so I never felt uncomfortable about him being out there with us. The hotel was kid friendly which most of Disney is but it wasn't too much craziness which makes him a little nervous. We enjoyed the peace and quiet of the resort and so did he. Nap time was never an issue with noise or anything. We love the YC and would never hesitate to take a little one along.:sunny:

If you're going during a warmer weather time and your DD loves the water then go with the YC or BC. YC rooms all have full balconies, BC has some standing room only. The sand play area at Stormalong Bay pool is the best for little ones and the lazy river type area is great for adults, it's over 6 feet deep.

If she's not really into the pool or you aren't planning on spending a lot of time swimming then I say go to the BW. The BW is a great resort! The pool area's very cute, they have a large main pool with a slide but also a kiddie pool area with elephants that squirt water and a playground. There's so much to do at the Boardwalk, stroll at night, lost of dining choices, it was a really fun place.

We stayed at both, this past trip and if it weren't for the Stormalong Bay we'd probably always stay at the BW. So we decided that if we're going during a hot/very warm time of year we'll stay at the BC but if it's a cooler time of year then we'll definitely opt for the BW.

Madalex -- I agree that SAB is fun for a 2 year old, I never said it was too much, but Hugh and MIGHT not be as realaxing for the parents. JMHO I would rather be at BW then BC/YC with a two year old. I have stayed at BC and BW and agree with you that they will be happy with any choice they make. One thing I have never done at WDW is wish I had stayed somewhere different. We enjoy what each resort has to offer from Deluxes to All Stars.
