We currently have BC booked, garden view for 7 nights in September. We were trying to decide if we wanted to upgrade to club level or add 2 more nights.
We can't get BC CL only YC with our military discount. We can't get 9 nights at either unless we book CL at YC.
So dh and I then started talking about AKL where we could do 9 nights or CL.
We have stayed at BC and AKL and enjoyed both. We love SAB at BC but also enjoyed AKL.

We keep going back and forth on this, i just want to have it nailed down before we are able to make our dining reservations. So, what would you suggest? Thank you for your help.

For me, it's easy. I'd stay at AKL, especially if you say you've stayed there before and like it. For one, the theming there appeals to me more. Two (and the main reason), you get to stay two additional nights. More Disney time = a happier me. :goodvibes

I would add 2 nights and do a split stay, that way you don't have to choose between the two :). But if a split stay isn't an option for you, I would probably go with the BC. We've stayed at both AKL and BC and while we loved AKL, we would choose the BC for the close proximity to Epcot and DHS, as well as for the larger rooms :goodvibes.

If we did a split stay we would add two nights on to the end of our 7 night stay currently at BC. We could stay AKL but a, now thinking maybe try somewhere different. Where would you stay?

Our favorite resort is the Poly :). We have had great stays at all of the resorts we've tried, but we love the Poly for the tropical atmosphere, being close to MK, the volcano pool, and the beach for watching the fireworks. Plus it's great seeing the castle every day off in the distance :cloud9:.

My 2 favorite resorts are AKL/Kidani and BC - I vote for a split stay between those!

We have never done a split stay before, for those of you that have what would you say are the pros and cons? Thank you!

I just did a split stay this week, and am doing another one next week. I don't think they're a hassle at all, but many think they're too inconvenient. Probably the biggest con would be having to pack up to move. We travel only with carry-on bags (we do laundry half-way through) - and we don't even unpack into the drawers of the resort. So for us packing up literally takes 10 min. The resorts will handle moving all your luggage - we just call Bell Services when we're ready to check out of the 1st resort, they come to the room & collect the luggage, and we don't see it until it's delivered to the room at the new resort later that same day. Another con for some is that Bell Services will not move luggage between resorts until around 3pm, so if you head right over to the new resort in the morning, you may not have your bags yet. We always head out to a park in between, or go for a long leisurely lunch, or hit DTD.

You have the option to transfer your own bags as well, by taxi.

The biggest pro to me is that you get 2 vacation experiences. Last week we split between BCV and Poly, next week is Dolphin & BC CL. I'm already thinking ahead to a BC/Kidani or AKL split next time. I love love love the hustle & bustle of the Epcot Area Resorts, yet going to AKL or Kidani is soooo serene - an opposite experience from the Epcot Area Resorts.

Have fun planning whatever it is that you decide!

:rotfl: you sound like me, we currently have AkL booked for 12 nights, but not thinking of doing an AKL/BC split.

We have done split stays during long trips, like our upcoming Aug 12 night trip.
I don't do them for our shorter week long trips. I like being able to be at a resort for at least 4 or 5 days. For a night or 2, for me it's not worth it, seems like your just checking in & out without really getting a feel for the resort.
