BC vs Yacht Club level, any major differences?

Wondering if the rooms are located near the lounge, also is it a big benefit to book water view over resort view? Would love any recent reviews having a difficult time deciding if this is something we will really use

BC’s lounge is a little bigger/more functional in my opinion. I find it a little more pleasant than YC’s lounge.

Both serve the exact same offerings.

I like YC as a resort better than BC, feels a little smaller and quieter.

I was at BC CL recently and enjoyed it.

The CL floor and lounge is on the 5th floor (top floor) of each resort. I find the hallways at both relatively long so while you can be close to the lounge, you can also be ‘far’ (it’s really not that far).

I’ll let others with more knowledge comment on the rooms.

I've never stayed BC CL, but we stayed YC CL last year and really enjoyed it. The rooms are all on the same floor as the club. The actual lounge was fairly small, but it was never so crowded we couldn't get a spot when we were there.

We have stayed at both lounges and the layout of the Beach Club lounge is much nicer. But there wasn't any difference in food offerings. :)

I would not book a Beach Club water view club level room. Many of the water view rooms overlook Storm Along Bay and are above the big flat roof. They are located a floor above the standard view rooms.

We only book Water View at YC ever since we learned that some Resort view rooms may share a balcony. I don't know where the other water view rooms are located, but we always got the ones overlooking the swimming area that also happened to be the furthest from the lounge. I personally didn't find this view to be attractive since the immediate view was of a flat roof with exhaust (??).

Here's a picture from YC Water View without the flat roof:

Years ago, we stayed at BC CL water view and also had a view of the swimming pool.

I know that my parents preferred the one at YC, partially because it was more peaceful, they thought. They were in their 80s, no other family with them. One year they were upgraded to YC Club level, the next to BC Club level. I never get upgrades like that!

I prefer the BC CL because it’s a larger space and I prefer BC’s location, but I will say it’s generally more chaotic and seems to have more children running around. If you want a more peaceful experience, YC is the better bet in my experience. You can’t really go wrong with either since the food is nearly identical.
