Is there anyone out there that has stayed at these two resorts? We have stayed at the YC before so I know a little about the BC but only Stormalong Bay. This trip will include myself, DH, DS 13, DD 17 and DD's friend 16. My DS wants to stay at the WL and DD wants to stay at BC b/c of being able to walk around the boardwalk. :cool1: I don't care where we stay as long as it has a nice pool! :teeth:

Please Help :rotfl2:

I love both resorts, but it comes down to two things that you as a group have to decided:

1) LOCATION: I personally prefer the location of the BC better. You're in walking distances to both Epcot and MGM. Also, as your daughter said, wou can easily walk to the Boardwalk, and the guys can enjoy a burger at the ESPN cafe, while the girls go for a round of mini-golf up at Fantasia Gardens. Also, with your kids at those ages, they'll probably be spending the majority of their time at Epcot and MGM! If they were a younger, I would probably put more favor on the WL, because of its easy access to the MK!

2) POOLS: Yes WL had a great pool, but it doesn't even compare to that of SAB. The slide is amusing for yonger children, not exactly teenagers, and to me felt rather small.

The WL is a great resort though. Resort wise, I enjoyed it more than the BCV. Mainly because it had a food court, which was so convinent! Also the lodge has a rather "homey" feel. Having Bay lake in your back yard is awesome! But personally, I would choose the BC over the WL. Mainly due to it's location and pool!

we're doing both this Aug
5nights at Pop, 3nights at WL and 6nights at BCV

I wanted to try BCV - DS13 didnt want to give up the WL (we've stayed there twice in the past)

Are you thinking of getting one room or two? We're also a family of 5 and I was under the impression that there were limited options for 5 in a single room at WL. We stayed at BC last summer (one room) and all thought it was great -- pool, location, theming, Cape May Cafe & Beaches and Cream. Getting homesick just thinking about it! ;)

Our BIL and family did do 2 connecting rooms at WL (also a family of 5 but with kids more like the ages of yours) and that worked well for them. They loved Artist Point! Good luck with your decision!

Thanks to everyone who gave me so advise and their personal experience. I believe we are going to stay at the BC. DS decided it would be OK b/c he really liked the pool and arcade area. :cool1:

Thanks again!! :wave2:
