BC vs BWI or Poly

Given the free dining promo....had to upgrade to a pool view for the fd discount. Now price-wise I think that BC lagoon view is about $600+ more than the std at BWI and $200+ more than the Poly. I've never stayed at any of these but am really excited about the Beach Club. However given these prices and changes in room categories, proximity to parks options etc what are your opinions! Thanks!

I agree that if you were really looking forward to the BC and the extra cost isn't an issue, I'd keep it. We have stayed at both the Poly and BC and while we did enjoy our BC stay, the Poly is our favorite. With that said, the Poly would be my choice (just my preference for atmosphere, room size, pool, etc), but it sounds like you are very excited about staying at the BC so I'd go with what you really want. The MK area is our favorite, but if you will be spending a lot of time at Epcot and DHS, you can't beat the location and close proximity to both parks. I can't comment on BWI as we've never stayed there.

I think your kids will love SAB and so will you! The sandy shallow part of the pool is very fun. Also near the entrance to the Flying Jib slide is a smaller slide and pool for younger kids. It is wonderful and quiet over there. Make sure you save plenty of time for the pool.
The International Gateweay entrance to Epcot is my favorite feature of the Epcot area resorts. It is so nice to leave your room at 8:25AM, head over to Epcot and be one of the first people at the gate. They'll let you in so you have plenty of time to make it to Soarin' but we love walking through the UK and Canada on our way to Future World. So excited for you!
The lagoon view at BC is wonderful. I love to look out at the Boardwalk in the early morning or all lit up at night.
You are going to have a great trip!

Without question I would keep the YC reservation. I see it as a win, win, win. Your daughter won't miss school. You will save money. And I think I read that you were looking for a quieter environment to return to after the parks. YC is definitely quieter, and my daughters loved it there. The lobby is beautiful, SAB is awesome, and you will love it. Yes, it is further from Epcot, but you will be looking across the lagoon at the Boardwalk on your walk from Epcot to the YC- which is gorgeous during the day and completely amazing at night! The only problem is you might not want to go to the parks at all!!

I would request a room near the lobby.

Enjoy!
thanks!! Today I was able to swap the yc reservation with free dining for BC. Yay! I think we will be moving our dates and the new plan will have 8 days now!

it's so funny because there are so many different ways to do Disney and different things to love about all of them. I a, sure the poly would be amazing. It is gorgeous, we went to ohana last time we went to WDW. Thanks for the advice!!

So they let you in the international gateway before 9am? That's fantastic! Thanks so much for your response you have me really excited. I need to get back to my happy excited place rather than the uncertain and confused and frustrated place of what's happening to my vacation?? Lol

thank you!!!! You are right it's a win win win. At least touring plans (but not other sites) is predicting low crowds that week so we wouldn't have a loss there....originally why I planned later in sept dates. Disney math....the discount has me spending more money and feeling like I'm saving ! I just want to stay there so badly now that I've heard so much about it.

. Thanks everyone for your advice and input -- husband isn't really a Planner so it's great to have another sounding board!!
