We will be staying @ BC for the first time 8/25/ -8/31. I love the fact that you can walk to Epcot. Mt concern is the boat, does it get really crowded. Are there times you can't get on and have to wait for it to come back? Is there more then one friendship boat? My other concern is the bus service to AK, MK and DTD. I would love to hear some of your experiences with BC transportaion.

Thanks

If it's crowded during your stay, you might have to wait for the next boat. It is shared with the Swan, Dolphin, Yacht Club, and Boardwalk besides the Beach Club.

I'm not a bus fan. 99% of the time, we take a taxi to and from the parks, DTD,etc. If I'm being economical, we take a taxi to get to the parks, etc and the bus back to the resort.

There are two or three Friendship boats running at a time. Sometimes the boats do fill up, but another one will come along fairly quickly thereafter. Of course, you can also walk to/from DHS (it takes about 20 minutes to walk to BC) if you don't fell like waiting for a boat.

Bus service is fine. No better, no worse than any other resort. Usually buses are shared with the YC, but sometimes with all the other Epcot resorts (in my experience, this occurs only during slow times of the day).

You should have no problem with large crowds during the times of your stay. I find the boats to be much more timely than the buses. I will do practically anything to avoid a bus like take a cab or even walk through Epcot to get the monorail to MK(we always get PH). However, when I do have to take the bus it does not seem to be any worse or any better than any other resort(still have to budget about 45 minutes for a one way trip)

I was just there 5-31 to 6-4.

It was our 3rd time there and we dont use the boats. Even for the tri to the studios, we prefer to walk.

In the past though, I have never had to wait for another boat. there is a lot of standing room in the back.

the bus ride to AK was about 10 mins going, and 20 mins returning. Beach Club is the last resort on the stop .... Swan > Dolphin > Yacht > Beach > Destination....on the way out

Origination >Swan > Dolphin > Yacht > Beach on the way back.

Bus service was never a problem. It can get crowded during peak times, but no big deal.

We were at the BC over Memorial Day Weekend and used the boats to get to HS quite frequently. We always managed to get a seat but the waits for the boat to come back
(they go to the Swan/Dolphin, YC/BC, and BW) were long at times. We usually had about a 20 minute wait. From what I hear, the walk is just as long.

We only use the buses to get to MK. We take the rental car to AK. As far as the boats we never use them, we walk to both parks. The walk to the Studios is longer but we have never had any problems with it and we actually walk there faster than the boats. Several times we will be walking past the S/D when the boat is pulling in. We will be at the Studios before the boat is pulling into the dock at the Studios. We go mid Aug. and the heat doesn't stop us from walking.

Should you want to take the boat to Hollywood Studios it will have already picked up guests at the International Gateway of Epcot and the Boardwalk before it arrives at the Yacht Club/Beach Club boat dock. After that it will then stop at the Swan/Dolphin boat dock before arriving at Hollywood Studios. Now should you not want to take it they also have another walkway that goes there, so at least you have a second option.
