Taxi info to theme park

Hi,

I am planning PS and I've heard that bus transp. may not get us there on time. We'll be at the BC and going to MK for PS at Crystal Palace, we won't have a car, and they are not on EMH days. From reading transportation messages, the bus can start running anywhere from 1 hr (if EMH) 1/2- :45 mins. before opening. With this info. I guess the best thing to do is take a taxi.

However, since this is going to be the first time I am running into this dilemma, I'm really not sure how to handle it and with who.

1st. Who do I see to call for a cab? Front desk, bell service?
or am I on my own?

2nd. How soon do I get the taxi or call before it actually comes,
with taking into acct the 10-15 mins, I need to be at the
rest. before the PS time? Giving enough time to go thru
security, gate and down the street.

3rd Approx. what the fees are, and is the fee including tx?
Are the fees per person or by car? There will be 3 of us.

4th. Where does the taxi drop us off? Is the drop off anywhere
near where the bus stops are at the parks?

One last question. I do have a PS on an EMH day at a resort, knowing that I have to go to the closest park, and take the monorail to the resort, how long would this adventure take, so I can make the PS in enough time to make it there within the 10 to 15 mins. needed? BC to Grand Fla. for 9:00 on a Weds. EMH time.

I would really appreciate any info in regards to this dilemma, or who I can contact to find the answers?

Buses will start running to the MK around 7:15, give or take. Actual arrival time to the BC might vary. Because it's not an Early Entry day, the bus will not be crowded.

If you take a Taxi, there are usually cabs waiting right out in front, near the Valet area. If there isn't one, it doesnt take long to get one. One word of caution... the cabs can only take you as far as the TTC... from there, you'd still need to take the Monorail. Approximate cost would be $15, give or take.


For your GF reservation, be out at the bus stop around 8:00. Hop on board the MK bus, and then take the Monorail to the GF.

Thank you so much for your info. There is so much confusion as to what time the buses start, that I just assumed I would definitely have to take a taxi to MK. Why is Dining telling everyone that there is no transportation earlier than :45 mins. before park opens?

So if I have a PS for 9:00 at the Crystal Palace, I will be able to get to the MK, thru security, gate and down the street to the CP and still satisfy the 10-15mins req. before PS time?

My Grand Floridian PS is also at 9:00 but this is on an Early Entry Day, you suggested to be at the bus stop by 8:00 and take the MK bus , hop the monorail to Gr. Floridian, will this get me there on time w/the 10-15min pre-reserv. time?

So much confusion, so early in the morning for just a breakfast!

Dining has NO CLUE about Bus Transportation... like I always say, never trust anyone about bus transportation unless they're wearing purple pants

Leaving at 8:00 will get you to both PS with PLENTY of time, even if you just missed the bus.

Hi Tyler,

Your reputation precede's you. You are the man. I will no longer worry and make plans to use a taxi, while on my vacation at Disney and will enjoy my breakfasts at the Crystal Palace and 1900 Park Faire thanks to you.

I have a new respect for those in purple pants. Hope that I get to thank you in person while I'm riding around Disney World on the Disney Bus Transporation System. Thanks again.

OK Tyler I have read all your posts as THE WORD for transportation questions and I think I understand my choices for BC to MK.However, I am worried that the bus won't work for a 8:05 CRT breakfast ressie(on a non early entry day).My understanding is that the buses start running at 8:00 for MK since it opens at 9:00.Am I correct? So,I guess we should take the Taxi? Is there a character breakfast bus?

We never rent a car because we have always used Disney transportation.In fact,on one of our first trips,we returned a car early when we stayed at the Wilderness Lodge because we never needed it.This is our first time at the BC and I am a little worried about getting to the MK. Previosly we have stayed at the MK resorts.

Although they are not labeled as Character Breakfast buses anymore, there will be buses running early enough to take you to your breakfast.
