Just wondering what would be the best way to get from BCV to Fort Wilderness. We won't have a car and can't go through Epcot as we won't have park hoppers and won't be there earlier that day. Has anyone taken a cab or know how much it would be? Also, there will be six of us, would we need two cabs if we went that way? Just figuring out my options.

Getting there just take the bus from BC to the MK. Then take the boat launch over to Ft. Wildnerness.

Coming back you can do the same thing, unless you are doing the latest show. We did that a year ago, and it was past MK closing by the time we were done. They had busses to take the guests to their resorts. We had to share with several resorts (sort of like an ME route). But we got "home". I am not sure if they have busses to go back to the resorts at the earlier HDDR shows or not, they may very well have them available at those shows as well.

A cab from BC to Ft. Wildnernss would probably run somewhere around $15. I have cabbed from many different resorts to many others, and the most I have ever paid was $22. That was from the All Stars which are sort of far out from everything but AK.

How many can you fit in a cab? Trying to avoid the long waits for a bus and the boat.

Well a typical car style cab will seat four people (three in the back, one up front with the driverr). However, they have van cabs that will seat more people. Last month we took several of those around WDW, we had my inlaws with us and were a party of six. And we could have fit one more if we had needed to in those vans. The bellmen at all WDW resorts will call a cab for you that will fit your party size. The van's didn't cost anymore that I could see from the cars (took several of those too).

ust remember that if you take a cab to FW you will be dropped off at the Reception Outpost. You will still need to take a FW internal bus to Pioneer Hall. There is not direct taxi dropoff at Pioneer Hall

As another poster said, take a bus to the TTC and then hop on the boat to Ft. Wilderness. It is not that bad. The waits aren't too long. It's pretty easy.

If you do take a cab, you will still be subjected to the Ft. Wildnerness bus both before and after the show. Boating over will avoid that.

We watched the 7PM HDD - boat ride from MK - to the HDD - great ride and a nice way to end an afternoon at MK, saw the 7 PM show and took a bus back to ur resort. It stopped at the BC/YC and S/D - not a bad bus ride and plenty od seats on the bus. :goodvibes
