In the BC standard rooms with the two queen beds...is there also a day bed?

Yes usually. But there may be an odd room without the couch / daybed. I would put it in the request to make sure. Some rooms at BC / YC are smaller than others. Also don't forget the balcony factor.

I'm trying to decide if we should reserve a standard room through CRO for our first night or a studio.

So, I should request a room with a daybed?

Few rooms at BC have a full balcony. Look at pictures of the outside of building. They mostly have a stepout balcony, = 1 door and enough space for 1 person to stand outside.

Depends on how much "outside" time you want. 1st floor rooms I think all have a small patio.

Check out joe cools yc/bc faq. There was a floor plan map that had all info about balcony's and views of rooms for requests. (if its still around?)

We are only going to park it there for one night so we can enjoy SAB. I haven't broken this news to DH yet, but now that I have a plan I will convince him of its wonderment He's a smart man...he always sees things my way
