We'll be at BCV for a few days in early Dec. DH and I would love to go to Candlelight Processional w/o the kids. If your kids have stayed in the Sandcastle Club, I'd love to hear about the experience. Also, DS will turn 4 the week after our trip. So, he'll technically be 3yrs, 51 weeks. Will he be able to stay there?

Nope, they have to be four. Almost four doesn't count. You could always try an in-room sitting service.

We took our daughter to the Sand Castle club when she was only 3 1/2 and it wasn't a problem. She loved it... they did arts and crafts, played games, etc and they even feed them there.

My GS & GD both stayed in the club several times before 4 yrs. old.
Both were over 3 yrs. and potty trained. :Pinkbounc

Did you tell the CM's that your children were under 3? I suspect not. If they found out, they can get in trouble and you would be asked to pick up your kids because they are only licensed to take 4 year olds. CM's might ask your child how old they are and if they say 3, you are going to have a problem.

They used to take 3 yr olds. Why would you just assume the poster was lying about their kids age?

Well they don't now do they? (nor have they in the past four years at least). The OP is talking about present time. Present time is 4 years old. The age limit is there for a reason.

Neither of these posters stated when it was.

Only the OP is talking about the here and now adn she was simply asking if if would be okay. They never said they were going to do it.
I realize what the present but I have to wonder how clearly you read the thread.
OP asked a question and a couple of people answered. Not one said they snuck in a child under 4 and none said they were going to.

This past May our daughter stayed at the Sandcastle Club while DH and I went to Circque du Soleil. She loved it, and I was very pleased with its offerings. I also felt very safe about her being there.
It was awesome.

Have a great trip!!! :)

How busy is this club? Do I need to make a reservation ahead of time? We're going to be at BWV in November and the Sandcastle Club is the closest one to our resort. Thanks!

It probably just depends on when you are going how busy it is. Early Nov shouldnt be to busy but closer to thanksgiving more ppl will be there and it will probably be busier.
We are giving it a try in Oct. I will let you know how it is.

I would make a reservation in advance just to be sure. I really think that as long as the child is potty trained it isn't going to be a huge problem. Yes, they do say the cut off is 4, but they aren't going to ask for birth certs. I would call them myself, and explain the situation. See what they have to say. Otherwise, try Fairy Godmothers...they seem to have good reports.

Yikes, I didn't mean to launch a great debate. I recognized from the first response to my OP that this was clearly a sensitive subject for some people - all I was doing was trying to find out if there was any flexibility.
