BC question

I just read that the pool bracelets at BC are made of paper. Surely this cannot be correct as they would disintegrate. What are they made of?

Curious as to why you're asking this question, but if you must know, the bracelets are made of the same material that those Fedex package bags are made of. Forgive me, I'm not sure what you call that material.

It's called Tyvek, and the above is correct - it isn't paper and it won't dissolve. A lot of time on the boards Tyvek gets referred to as "paper" but while it resembles paper it is much more durable.

I'm asking because the website said the bracelets were made of paper. It made me wonder just what they were made of since I was pretty sure that paper would disintegrate. Then I wondered if maybe it was coated paper, so I figured someone on the Dis would know the answer.
It drives my kids crazy that I'm like this because when they ask me a question about something like this, most of the time, I tell them to look it up.
