Ok I now have my resort narrowed down for my 7/06 trip. Can anyone tell me the difference between the two? Is there a place in either to use refillable mugs and is there a CS that we can get breakfast stuff? Thanks.

YC rooms all have full balcony only some do at BC, BC has a small store where you can fill your mugs and get some items for bkfst. Both are beautiful resorts. For and adult trip I would go YC with kids BC. Enjoy

Is there a place to refill your mugs at YC?? How far apart are the 2 properties? I know they share everything but is if a far walk?

I agree with previous post; if it is just adults, stay at YC and if you are traveling with kids, stay at BC. I don't think you will have a problem getting refillable mugs at either, we have them from both.

They are both great places to stay, a very short and pleasant walking distance to Epcot. You can't go wrong either way!

bc atmosphere just feels like a zoo to me. the lobby is always bustling with activity. yc is less chaotic. just my opinion. spent four nights at yc with three girls: 13, 10, and 9. it was wonderful.

Beach Club is closer and actually some rooms have very nice views of Epcot.

We stayed at WL in September.(we loved it!) But I checked out quite a few other places while we were there. We had almost booked at YC. My mom and I toured both and we both liked BC better. I think my mom hit it on the nail. She said she liked the BC because it looked happier. The colors are pastels and more cheerful. YC is still very nice, but darker. I couldn't tell you about busy. We were there in Sept. it isn't very busy. It was busy at YC though, because of a conferance. They do say YC does have some of the quieter rooms.(down toward the dolphin and Swan-away from the pool)

If we could have afforded 10 nights at the BC, I would have loved to stay there! Why? It was pretty. Close to Epcot(food! We ate in Epcot showcases the most.) and MGM. You can take the monorail to MK. You can
take the boat to Epcot and MGM.(I loved the boat from WL to MK!) And I believe it is more centerally located.

I think I would still like to try out POR, but I don't think I would like the transportation.

We are going to be at the Beach Club on Friday! I will be happy to come back and let you all know what we thought! It's our first stay at this resort...we can't wait!!!!!! :cool1:

I vote for the Yachtclub. It is beautiful and you have some great restaurants in your hotel.

I just made reservations for BC for my twins bday.. That's what they wanted for their bday. I chose BC because I figured the colors and deco would be more up my alley..
I paid the extra money for a water view?

That would be great!!! I look forward to hearing about it. Any pictures would be wonderful. I can't seem to find any recent pics on this site. I found some of the YC, but I think I like the BC better.

I personally perfer the YC because it's a bit closer to the boat dock and pool--you an really get pretty far out at the BC, at least in our experience. I also prefer the full balconies at YC. We had an oversized balcony and a perfect view of Illuminations during our NYE trip 2 years ago.

As far as pictures go, you can find an exhausitve selection in the accomodations section at www.wdwig.com

I've also found good picture collections at www.ourlaughingplace.com

subscribing since I am trying to soak up as much info as possible about BC.

I like YC. Most rooms at YC have full balconies or patios, not the case at BC. If this is important to you be sure and request a full balcony at BC. I like being closer to the marina and boat dock for MGM Studios. I like the colors at YC. The rooms are crisp white and light blues and greys where as at the BC it's seafoam green and a pinky/salmon color. The gleaming woods that are described by some as being dark to me just set off the nautical theme. The back entrance to YC is also closer to the pool and Beaches & Cream. You can't go wrong with either place though. The location is outstanding.
