BC or WL at Christmas?

I took some good advice from this board several months back and booked WL. Now I'm realizing that we will mostly be at Epcot and HS so wondering if BC makes more sense since there are usually sell out crowds this time of year so transportation to and from WL might be an issue.

BC is awfully $$$$...but it seems like there would be a lot to occupy us since we will be doing a few resort days.

Any thoughts?

Those are our two favorite resorts and either of them are great places to stay. We stayed at WL last December and it was beautiful. But next time we would choose BC because there are a lot of things to do and see in Epcot at Christmas. And it is much easier to get to Epcot from the BC.

We think BC is worth the extra money, especially at Christmas. The BC, YC and Boardwalk are wonderful to see during the holidays, plus the close walk to EPCOT and all the wonderful Christmas lights and happenings there.

JMHO, but wherever you end up, I know you'll enjoy a wonderful Disney Christmas.

If you are planning on spending a lot of time in Epcot, your time savings of walking 5 minutes to IG will be wonderul. Think of how little stress you will have waiting for buses!
Taking the boat or walking to DHS is an added bonus!

HOWEVER - I'd love to stay a WL at Christmas - that lobby is something else!

Both resorts are great, but my choice would be the WL. The BC is a nice resort and it's great being within walking distance to 2 parks, but I think the WL is the best resort at Christmas time (just my opinion). The lobby is beautifully decorated and has a welcoming atmosphere with the huge fireplace in the center surrounded by rocking chairs. I also think the buses at WL are great. We have had 2 great stays there and visit almost every trip and we have never had a bad experience. Good luck.

We stayed at WL last December and the Christmas decorations were phenomenal. I would definitely recommend the WL for the holidays. That said, we also looked at all the resorts Christmas decorations and the BC was very nice. However, WL has that home-sweet-home vibe. Here are some photos of the BC and WL at the holidays.

Both are great. They have wonderful decorations and are overall nice hotels. If you are going to be in EPCOT for much of your time it would be much easier just to stay at the Beach Club. The Beach Club should also have a kiosk(almost like a gingerbread house) up in the lobby that sells gingerbread goods!
