BC or POR?

My family of 5 is going to DW for our first trip and we're currently staying at the BC the last week of April. I keep finding myself very interested in POR. Is BC better than POR? Money isn't really a huge issue although saving some would be really nice. My girls are 7, 5 and 2 so the pool would be a big part of our vacation. Realistically, we wouldn't be able to go back for 4 or 5 years since we live in Montana and our airfare is going to be $2000. Any comments?

Personnally, I'd keep your BC ressie. POR is beautiful but it's not BC

Unless you're looking to save $$ and don't want to spend the extra, the pool is the best on WDW property and the convenience of being able to both walk or take the boat to both Epcot and MGM is so worth it. It also has a great restaraunt Cape May Cafe' - Great for both B and D and B is with characters! You will have a larger room too so you won't be cramped at all. Plus you get the deluxe ammenities you won't get at the moderate (valet parking & room service for example). Plus you can walk to BW for all there activities at night .... BC is worth the extra $$ IMO.

If $$ is a factor, POR is great, don't get me wrong. But if I had the choice, I'd definetly pick BC

I second the Beach Club. It is a deluxe resort ameneties. You will also get carpeted indoor hallways instead of outdoor entry to your room. Beside the fact that it is a deluxe and POR is a moderate. It is just a beautiful resort with the best themeing and atmosphere.

SAB has many options for kids your kids ages. The area that is only about 18 inches deep where the kids can build sand castles will be perfect for your little one and there is plently of areas for you older ones.

BC all the way! You'll have interior hallways, queen sized beds, proximity to Epcot/Boardwalk.

Thank you for the replies! I just needed to reminded again of all the great reasons to choose BC. The biggest reason for staying deluxe is that we probably won't go to DW again until my youngest is 6 or 7 so I thought we might as well do it up if we can. After all the moolah we're spending, the difference between POR and BC isn't going to make much difference.

Are you kidding?? Sorry, I just had to reply! There is really no comparison between the two. (I have stayed at both) You will be very happy at the BC - just the location alone is enough to choose the Beach Club. Have a great time !!
