BC or Poly?

I was thinking about a split stay between the two but found out that it wouldn't make sense with the dining plan.

Pros and cons of both locations? We're going to do a 4 night trip, dining plan of some sort, park hopper tickets, no AK visit this time around. Only rope drop day we are planning is DHS one morning. I would say 2-3 of our meals will be at Epcot, perhaps renting a care based on our dining choices (TBD at this point).

Since your focus seems to be on DHS and EP, I would choose BC - walk right to EP, walk or boat to DHS. Super easy!

Since your vacations geared towards DHS/Epcot, I would also vote BC! The Epcot area is awesome & there's so much to do between those 2parks, the hotel, SAB & the Boardwalk!

My choice would be the Poly. The rooms are larger, the beach is great for watching the fireworks, and it's just a 5-7 minute walk to the TTC to catch the Epcot monorail. The BC is a beautiful resort and although it's convenient to DHS and Epcot via boat or by walking, we love the tropical theme and atmosphere of the Poly.

I'd have a hard time choosing too, love both resorts. Go with the theming and ammenities that appeals to you.

With one little db, I think I would choose the BC. There is so much within walking distance that you can enjoy while the little one sleeps in her stroller.

Another vote for the Beach Club. The walk home instead of hopping onto a bus or monorail is worth every penny!

Definitely Poly we had a horrible experience st BC last Sept! Even with your meals at EP you can take the 5 min walk to TTC from Poly & grab express monorail to Epcot.

You can't beat the views from Poly, the ambiance the relaxing feeling. Being on the monorail to the other resorts & MK is so so convenient!

Agreed! The Poly and BC are probably my two favorite resorts, but the BC makes much more sense given your plans... you will appreciate that convenience! Have fun wherever you end up. :)

Thanks everyone! I'm still not sure what we're going to do but I have 11 months until we leave :)

ITA w/the others. if your focus is Epcot/DHS, Beach Club all the way. The BC is SO amazingly close to Epcot--it's like a four minute walk, maybe. If you want to spend more time at the MK, I would go with the Poly. Have fun deciding!

LOVE both, but I think I would go with Poly. The Rapa Nui rooms put you at a 2 min walk to TTC so MK and EPCOT are both so close. It really is the best of both worlds

I say beach club (I mean just look at my username). The atmosphere for activities in my opinion is better...you have quick access to world showcase...boardwalk...and dhs....poly is BEAUTIFUL.....two diff worlds lol....GOOD QUESTION :) HARD decision :(

Based on my last visit to BC, I'd say the Poly unless you like minimal housekeeping and little bugs crawling in the tub.

I say BC. Love the smell of the lobby. Easy 2 minute walk to Epcot and easy boat ride to DHS. Poly is nice but you are getting easy access to one park for more money, unlike BC which is easy access to two parks for less money.

Having stayed at both, I would choose BC for the atmosphere and the close proximity to Epcot and DHS. Haven't stayed at Poly in a long time, but it is not my fav resort of all the deluxe resorts, but that's just my personal preference. Whatever you choose have a great time!

We love the dining plan but feel it is just too much after 4 or 5 days. So what we do is stay 4 or 5 days on the dining plan and then switch to another resort for a few more nights at club level. You can attach the tickets to the first reservation for the entire stay such as 7 or 8 days. So for example you make the first reservation at the BC for 5 nights with 7 day tickets then make a room only reservation at the Poly Club Level for 2 or 3 nights...then you have the best of both worlds. Just an idea.

If I'm doing club level after my dining plan, would the Poly IPO be able to help with reservations or will the only make reservations during your stay of club level? Hopefully that sentence makes sense! :)

Beach Club! Easy access to two parks without having to depend on the monorail is a great perk.
