BC cribs or are there pack n plays?

are there standard cribs available at the beach club or are they pack n plays just like everywhere else? should i reserve a crib if they do have them? going in sept for 8 nights

First off, full-size cribs are hard to come by at Disney resorts. If they even have something, it's more like a port-a-crib than a full-size crib like you'd find at home. Port-a-cribs look like real cribs, but are smaller, due to easier storage and transport. If you have a larger toddler, who won't sleep in a pack-n-play, you'd be better off renting a full-size crib. I had what Disney calls a full-size crib while staying at Poly Concierge, and it was flimsy, and not as durable for an older child as the pack-n-play was. Also, these port-a-cribs can't be reserved at WDW hotels, if available, they are available on a first come/first served basis. You'll have to wait until check-in to see if one is available. We have stayed at the Beach Club with little ones two times. the first time we had a full size crib (this was about 5 years ago) and the next time it was a pack and play. The full size crib was quite nice - it was a sturdy metal, well put together and very clean. They did not have bumper pads, however, so I was glad I had brought my own. The pack and play was not so clean but was acceptable. I never made specific requests for either, so I'm not sure how they decide what to give you - maybe by age of the child? You may also be able to rent from Baby'sAway.com but they tend to be expensive. Good Luck!

Last info I have on cribs is that all Disney resorts have the pack n play cribs now and not the other crib styles. This was just a few days ago that I called to check on this and that is the updated information in the computer system. Now if some of the resorts still have the smaller full cribs there are VERY few of these left.

The crib we had was metal but not full size.
