For the last 10 years or so we have stayed at the GF. This year because of a family function we need to stay over by Epcot. So please, which would you choose - BC CL or BWI CL? Many years ago when the children were little we stayed at the Beach Club and loved it but I am getting the impression from these boards that the club lounge is small. Is that true? Is the lounge at BWI larger and more open?
Also, are there deluxe rooms at either hotel? Any opinions would be appreciated. Thanks in adance. (And I do have to make these arrangements quickly. Normally I like to thoroughly research my trips, but this time i can't. It's all good though, it's disney)

My family has stayed at the BC CL and the YC CL (you didn't mention the YC -- are you not interested in it?) and we enjoyed both of them. I haven't tried BWI CL, so I can't honestly review it.

We prefer BC/YC because of Stormalong Bay -- that puts us on that side of the lagoon.

The lounge in the BC was small, but we were always able to find a table when we wanted to.

I believe that there are larger, deluxe CL rooms at both the BC and the BWI.

Hope this helps! :goodvibes

I was wondering if the BC Cl was an open area or behind doors that close at night?
We are travelling with a large party and I find that an open area, like the lounge at the RPC, is easiest. And can anyone tell me about the BWI lounge - is it open or behind closed doors? thanks

The one at the BC is definitely much smaller than the RPC lounge. And it was behind closed doors when we stayed there. I did read here on the DIS that they were going to keep the doors open all night on a trial basis, but I don't know if they are doing that now or not.

I agree that it's much nicer when the lounge is open 24/7 even if there are no snacks available -- it makes for a nice gathering place.

Good luck with your planning!

I've stayed at both BC and BWI club level on multiple occasions. I prefer BWI club level, as the lounge there is a little larger. They are both great, however, so you can't go wrong whichever one you select.

For a larger group I would suggest BWI over BC, BC just feels cramped to me and I've only traveled with my husband. As someone else mentioned, is there a particular reason you opted out of YC? Their lounge is a bit larger and it just oozes relaxation and comfort!

There are deluxe CL rooms at both BW & BC. We stayed in one at BC last month, the room was very large & had the biggest balcony I've ever seen on Disney property. Each offer 2 queens & a daybed in a small sitting area. There are very few Deluxe rooms - only 6 at BC & just a few more than that at BW - so it may be difficult to book one.

We've not done CL at BW. The BC lounge was small (I wouldn't say cramped small) but it was never full while we were there. There is a sitting area with a couch, some chairs & a TV, then a regular dining area with about 6-8 tables, then a kids area with kids tables & a smaller TV. The doors were open every time we stopped by (they open to a small lobby area where there are 2 staffed CL desks, off of the 5th floor key-only access elevators).

I have pics if you are interested in seeing the size of either the Deluxe room or CL lounge at BC.

We have stayed at both CL resorts and prefer the BWI.:thumbsup2 The lounge is much larger and the CM are so very friendly. While most of the rooms are on the 4th floor behind a closed door, there are 3 outside of that area and some on the 3rd floor. There are also cottages located out by the quiet pool that are club access.

We stayed at the BC Club Level last September and thought it was amazing. I've never understood the negative reviews about it. It was never cramped or crowded. There was never once a line to get in. It's a little smaller but it just gives it an intimate feel. The CMs were great and we loved the offerings. We would stay again in a heartbeat. It's our favorite.

We have stayed both (including a deluxe room at BWI CL). Frankly, I don't think the BWI CL lounge is any bigger than the lounge at YC or BC, but FEELS that way because of the tall ceiling.

We prefer YC CL of the 3 CL's in the EPCOT area.

I would have a hard time choosing, I would go with whichever one you can get at a better price with everything you want (ie deluxe room etc). They are both fantastic resorts and we have had good experiences staying club level at both. If you will have young kids along, Stormalong Bay might be what would influence that decision for me. The clown pool does creep some kids out. I think the BC feels more like a family resort while the BWI feels a little more adult if that makes sense.

BWI deluxe CL room for sure! We were deciding on this last summer and went with BWI due to the glowing CL reviews and the fast that the deluxe rooms all have guaranteed boardwalk views. The deluxe rooms at BC are spread throughout the resort with different views and only a daybed as opposed to the queen-size sofa bed at BWI. We absolutely loved the deluxe room at BWI - it was huge, beautiful, and the view was spectacular. The CL there was fantastic, friendly staff and good food and snack choices. We loved everything about the BWI in general and we would totally stay there again. :goodvibes

All the info was great. The one great thing about the RPC is the 2 story lounge. It really does make it easy with a group.
So, at the BC all the rooms on the 5th floor are Club? OK but where are the deluxe rooms? Are there any on the 5th floor? I would not like to have to hike to the lounge.
We are not considering the YC because we stayed at the BC several times when the kids were young (Oh I miss those days!) and they have very fond memories of it. My kids are balking at the Boardwalk - for some reason they have just never liked the atmosphere.
Are there any suites on the 5th floor? Sorry for all the questions. I have always found better info on this board than anywhere else. If I call Disney I will simply be read some description off a sheet.
Thanks

Unfortunately, BC has no suites or deluxe CL rooms on the 5th floor. There are only 6 Deluxe Cl rooms - 4 on floors 1-4 overlooking the quiet pool, the other 2 are above Cape May Cafe. The other suites at BC are also over by the quiet pool, and that building only has 4 levels. We had to walk through the hallway to the main elevator by the lobby, and take that up to the 5th floor to use the lounge. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be!
