Two questions:

1. What is the best month to request a 7 month window studio or 1 bedroom at BC. We visited in Dec. to see the Christmas decorations at each resort and loved the atmosphere at BC. We own at AKL and are very happy to stay there, but would like to try BC.

2. Where and how do I purchase a TIW card. We are not interested in a dining plan, but the TIW card sound like a good option.

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

In response to the second part of your question, the TIW card may be purchased at Guest Relations in each park. I do not believe I can get that at the Park Ticket Windows (this is what I was told from that window).

I had to show my Annual Pass to purchase the card, $75. I believe the date varies, according to when you purchase it, but my card, purchased on Jan 25 is good through Feb 28 of 2011.

When you purchase a meal with this card, they will automatically add in the 18% tip, so no need to add another tip--unless you wanted to for exceptional service. The card also allows you to park free at resorts for the purpose of dining.

You can purchase the TiW card at any guest relations location. You have to be either a Florida Resident or an Annual Pass holder to purchase the TiW card. The cost is $75 for AP holders and $100 for non AP holder FL residents.

In the last 2 years, I have had no problem getting a BCV studio at 7 months. I would recommend booking at your home resort at 11 and then calling at 7 to get BCV. If not available right then, waitlist it and it will probably come through before you go.

The toughest time is going to be during the Food & Wine Festival. Everyone wants to stay close to Epcot for that.

We called for a studio in July at the seventh month window and we got it with no problem. We purchased our TIW card at guest relations in Epcot,

One of the little ticket booths right at the International gateway is a Guest Relations booth and you can just get your TIW card there. It's very convenient if you're staying at BCV!

I think May is a wonderful time to visit BCV and before I bought there, I had no trouble getting in for May. I've also been able to get a studio reservation for a 4 night stay over the 4th of July at BCV using other points. I think your best chance of getting into BCV is right at the 7 month mark. I'm guessing that it's during F&W that even the 7 months may not get you in, but there are people here who like to come on and say that they got BCV for F&W at 7 months, so you could be a lucky one!

Thanks so much for the help. I am picking up an annual pass that I ordered by phone in 2 weeks at guest relations, so I will just add TIW card then. I am really glad to hear that BC is not too hard to get. We love coming in late April-early May and that would be perfect for 2011. Only problem is that it may make me want to add on and buy BC points!
