I've been reading a lot of the DVC board lately and some people are talking about the BBQs and where they're located at the resorts? What are these?

They are charcoal grills, similar to those seen in most public parks. DVC Resorts have these in the pool areas of the resorts. You need to supply the charcoal and whatever you wish to grill.

I can vouch for them being at SSR near each of the quiet pools. Each Treehouse Villa also has its own grill. You can check out BBQ utensils from the community hall.

I've also seen a grill at the quiet pool area of the BCV. I don't know where you'd check out utensils at BCV, though, since there isn't a community hall.

Others will have to speak to the exact locations at other resorts.

Do all DVC resorts have this?

I believe so. They are usually located by the "quiet" pools, especially if the DVC resorts shares facilities with a non-DVC resort, they won't be by the main resort themed pool, only the DVC quiet pools. They may be at all pools of the condo style (SSR & OKW) because they are stand alone resorts, not attached to a non-DVC resort.

SSR has them near the quiet pools (definately Congress Park and the Grandstand).

VWL has them behind the boat and bike rental building on the beach.

BCV has them just past the hot tub at the Dunes Cove Pool.

OKW has them near the quiet pools, I've seen them near Turtle Pond and South Point for sure (although it's been quite a while). AKV and BLT I cannot say.

BWV by villas quiet pool and AKV at covered pavillion across from Kidani Village; BLT yet to open so have to wait and see if & where.

:)

The one at bcv is sort of small. If you walk from the quiet pool down by the "dunes" towards the main beach club entrance you'll pass it. There are a couple of benches and a grill.

At wilderness lodge, it is down by the boat rental docks.

At kidani it is incredible, there is a pavilion by the basketball court with several picnic tables, three or four grills, garbage and recycling, and a water spicket. And ceiling fans!

It is a great benefit. It is becoming our family ritual to BBQ on last day of trip!!!:smooth:
