Speculate what you will

BBC report on air baggage

Speculation of rules being relaxed next week to include some toiletries in carry on luggage, including toothpaste.

Note that this is not confirmation, nor does it necessarily mean that rules in other countries will be relaxed. Again, make what you will of this report.

Notice that the article discusses what can be taken *through security*. UK airports have already been allowing beverages purchased airside to be taken on board.

Also, to prevent confusion, it's worth repeating that the article is about the rules in the U.K. THIS ARTICLE HAS NO BEARING ON CURRENT RULES IN THE U.S.

WAIT.. .You mean that the Brits have decided that the water the sell in the gate area does NOT magically take on dangerous properties as it goes down the jetway? Are they sure? The TSA firmly believes that the water magically aquires dangerous qualaties as I walk down the jetway.

(And here I was thinking Harry Potter was the one making that bottle of water sold in the airport gift shop SAFE to consume on the ground but highly dangerous in the air. Have to find a new culprit, must be an American since it's fast becoming apparent that this magical transformation can only occur on American soil...someone without a passport perhaps?)

ahhh CarolA, I've said it before, I'll say it again - CarolA :love1:
