Me and my DW have been trying to decide which package to go with. The $35 no nails,$45 W/ nails, or the $120 everything. We have our dress that we bought from the disney store that we are planning to bring down anyway and just need advise. :confused3

When I took dd3 in October we did just the hair and make-up. The nails are generic press one nails that from reading these boards, they fall off very easily. I did not opt for the expensive package as we had 3 costumes we were bringing down with us for character meals. The costumes inculded in the package are the deluxe costumes, but if you check disneyshopping they stil have the deluxe Belle costume for less than $50. Retail is usually $80+. I considered the deluxe package for the photo shoot. But even with the lesser packages you can get the professional photo shoot, they add the pictures to your photopass card. You do not get any pictures inculded inthe price, but you can purchase pictures, or buy the photopass CD for $99 and print from home. We knew we were buying the photopass cd becuase we had a lot of pictures on there for our 9 day trip. It was cheaper than buying individual pics in the park and I got a copy of EVERY picture.

oh I didnt know you could add the photo to your Photopass...thank you so much for that information...DD will be aged 4 next Oct when we go and we were going to go for the Deluxe package (Princess Aurora, but she will probably change her mind by then ;) ) do you think she will get the nails aswell, as we were not aware of that part of the package either?
many thanks
Elaine

We just got home, and i took my dd 5, last friday.. I would definately skip the $10 nail job!! They slapped one QUICK coat of nail polish on them and that was it...I could have bought a bottle and did it myself in the room a heck of alot better.
I would just do the $35 package..hair and m/up. I would also NEVER get the $175 package (it's not 120.00 - just fyi!) Those dresses are not the most comfortable, and like someone else said, you can find them outside WDW for alot less.. ( we brought my dd's cinderella dress, and it lasted about 2 hrs on her...)
It is a cute treat for the kids.. and great photo opp, but skip the nails. (They didn't ask if we wanted press-on nails, they just painted them). And our "fairy godmother" was ok - but she didn't go out of her way to make the makeover extra special, others i saw seemed to act the part better. Oh well, luck of the draw i guess.
My dd had a ball, and loved being the center of attention, and we will go back next yr, but definately i will only be getting the $35 package..

We skipped bbb altogether, packed her dress, brought her faux hair scrunchie with us, and glitter gel makeup....ta dah...more $ to spend on other stuff :)

This is what we did for our trip last week. When we went to 1900 Park Fare with DD4 dressed as Cinderella the Fairy Godmother in the lobby asked if she had been to BBB. When DD said no that Mommy had done it, She said "Mommy should get a job at BBB!" So, it worked just fine for us doing it ourselves and saving the money. IMHO

Now you guys have me thinking if I should just cancel the appt. Right now we have the $45 Crown Package with hair, m/u, nails for Dec. 20 right before we head to 1900 Park Fare. We are bringing a Cindy Dress and Sparkly White shoes from the Disney Store. I'm still trying to find elbow length gloves. We also have a tiara already and I could bring nail polish and do it myself. But...I know she would love to get the attn when they do it in the salon chair and the pics on Photopass would be nice too. I HATE MAKING DECISIONS!!

Oh - please keep the appt.!! I understand what the others have said, but I think it was SOOOO worth it to see my dd's face when they were pampering her. They make such a big deal out of the kids, and it really is cute.
I am DEFINATELY going to go back with my dd next yr, BUT - i will just get the $35 package - So, if anything, i would say to downgrade the package, but definately KEEP the appt! Your dd will love it!!

Our DD just turned 8 before the trip. Our hairdresser girl was low keyed but wonderful. We did pick the hair and makeup and the nail package. We did not get the press on nails. Yes they only painted them once and I could have done a better job of that, but she stopped chewing her nails, so she could have them done. We did bring our own outfit with normal shoes to be comfortable. We picked Jasmine so she would be in pants all day and comfortable and could ride the rides easily. I saw only one girl get the WHOLE package and she did NOT look excited, HUH?. Everyone all day told DD she was a real princesses. And she ate it up with a big spoon. Even visitors would say Wow I'm standing next to a real princess. I would of loved getting her done before CRT but there was not time. And she did state I would do the BBB again. She also asked do you think anyone will ask me for my autograph? They are only little once. Ask your girls about the nails. I did tell DD, I heard the nails fall off very easy. But I will "treat" you to painted ones.

My Girlfriend and I did the 35.00 Pkg. and had loads of fun being princessed. I Agree with others if you do a bit of shopping else where you can save yourself some big bucks, Bring your own princess dress, do your own nails. The hair and makeup was wonderful but the rest of it is just a big money maker for Disney.
I got pics done in photo studio and I will say they are some of cutest pics I have of friend and I. We just put them on photopass card and bought CD which we had planned on doing all along.

Just got back and we ended up going twice. We did the $45 dollar package both times but would really suggest doing the $35 package. The polish doesn't show up and the press on nails don't stay on. My DD loved this experience and the compliments she received both times and I would recommend it to anyone.

I'm so excited.

I'm taking my three oldest DD's for this before the P&P party. I have the $45 package booked but I might downgrade to the $35 one. They love having their nails done but would be really upset if they had them done and than "messed" them up that night.

Thanks for the tip on the photopass. We plan on buying the CD before we go home the next day.
