OK, so my DD 7 is kinda over the princess thing and I have BBB booked for her and my 5 yr. old next month. I read that they have the option of Pop Diva hairstyle and Pop Princess something-or-other. So my question is whether the $49.99 pkg (hair, make-up & nails) includes whatever hair extension &/or accessory they put in the hair for those options or not. I don't want this trip to BBB to put me in the poor-house, cause we're doing CRT b'fast right after.
Anyway, I have the multi-colored hair extensions from last years MNSSHP and wondered if they let you bring those with you to use instead of buying new stuff? :confused3 Also, when choosing these styles, what kind of "costume" would the girls be choosing to wear/bring? She has some Hannah Montana clothes, but not actual pop-star gear!! My other daughter has a new belle costume to wear, and that brings me to my next question....if they have their own costume, can they bring it with and then get changed there, or do they just show up in the costume? Since it's August, I'm thinking I might want to minimize the time they spend sweating it out in the costumes. I know last time we did CRT they took those costumes off pretty shortly after leaving cause they were itchy and hot :confused3 ....it was also August (hey, gotta love Free Dining!!:rolleyes1 ) Well, I really appreciate any advice. I called BBB to get the answers but the CM was totally clueless and it was a waste of my long distance. I know you DIS'ers will be much more helpful to me!! :disrocks:

All of the hair extensions are included in the price so you don't have to worry about that. When DD6 was getting hers done there were quite a few older girls having theirs done. They don't have to decide on the style till they get there so they can have a good look at the ones on offer.

My DD wore her Jasmine outfit to the park as it was at 8am but after the CRT breakfast which we did after she changed out of it and put on a skirt and top. she kept on the sash. Girls were wearing all sorts of different things but many came in their own dresses. You could always bring it and get changed in a restroom before her appointment.

I'm 32 (ahem) and I went to the BBB my last trip. I mean I actually went and got done up. Needless to say I was the oldest princess there. There were plently of little princesses there alreay wearing their own princess dresses. That stuff can bankrupt you at the BBB. In case anyone was wondering they do offer all of the dresses in adult sizes but DH drew the line in the sand. He did let me get the coach package with nail polish. I use it freuquently. If fact I am wearing the blue glitter nail polish right now.

My 3 DD's had the package with nails and make up. We brought our own costumes. The hair extensions and tiara and Mickey clips and Mickey bobby pins were all included.

My DD6 was almost 7 when we went last year and was sooo over disney princesses. I wept when she took down her Ariel wall stick ups. Anyhow, DD6 told me she really wanted to do BBB but not to be a disney princess. We compromised on a pretty dress from the disney store that had the disney princesses on it but was not a costume. She loved it and danced around the house in it before our trip. She practised posing on the couch at home pretending it was the white leather couch they use at the BBB photographer. I thought I was all set to go.

Then we got to disney. She saw all the other girls in costumes. She met the princesses at breakfast in Norway. While we were walking into the downtown BBB she tugged at my hand and whispered in my ear. "Mommy did you bring my Belle costume?" My heart sank. I really wish I had brought the costume with me.

My advice is to really talk it through with your DD before you go. Show her pictures on the internet. Oh yeah, and pack the costume anyway. Just in case.

I really appreciate the suggestions. I could definitely see her changing her mind about the whole princess thing once we are immersed in the Disneyness princess: I can't really consult with her ahead of time cause it's a surprise trip. I am officially the keeper of the secret and with less than a month to go I'm about to burst!!! Just gotta keep Dis'ing- but I think you guys have convinced me to pack the costumes, just so I have them and don't go broke buying one there when she is whining about it. Last year, we got caught in a torrential downpour walking back to meet up with DH (who had the ponchos) after riding BTM for the 1st time :goodvibes Well, we were drenched to the bone (I in a newly-see-through white skirt :scared1:) and she in her dress. Well, she was begging to buy a Minnie costume to change into and I couldn't bear to spend that kind of $$ on something I knew she'd never wear again, so I stood my ground and refused. She was so upset for hours, and I'd hate to have to go through a repeat of that in the BBB of all places!!

Thanks again guys :flower3:
