So when we go down to Dis next year our DD will be a little over 4 and I am debating on whether BBB will be worth it at that age?? I have figured it will cost me around $12-15 and then the price of the costume to do it myself which is obviously wayyyyy less than it would be there but I thought I would get some expert advice lol:worship:

YES, YES, YES! My daughter was four almost five this year when we took her to the BBB at downtown Disney before going to Epcot for the day. It was her most memorable part of the trip. She loved it.

We made sure we had the first appointment of the day and Corinne was the first to walk in. We had a 9 or 9:15 appointment and got there around 8:45. We also had her pictures taken (two buildings over) and they added them right to our fastpass for no additional cost.

We only did the cheap package (just under $60.00) and brought her dress ourselves!

I am thinking about getting this for myself(I'll be 34 on our next trip) and I hope I won't be out of place.

It is well worth it. I personally choose the 2 lower packages for my dd (hair and makeup or the hair, makeup and nails). We prefer to bring our own costumes that I make & they will allow you to change in the BBB dressing room there regardless if you buy the dresses from the. We did the BBB for the first time when dd was 4 and have done it at least 10x since. DD is 8 now and still asks to go to the BBB.

My oldest daughter was 5 when I took her. She really wasn't a girly girl so she opted for the rock star hair and wore a princess shirt. She wore the sash the whole day and the castmembers would address her like "How do you do Princess..?" She loved it! Her hair stayed that way for a few days. When she slept I put her head on a towel as not to get it all over the sheets. My youngest will be turning 6 when we go next year and I plan on taking her to get made up too. You have to think about if your child is good at sitting and staying still. There is alot of primping and hair brushing. This is the BBB in Cindrella's castle but I may use the downtown one too.

YES! I took my daughter she's 4 and she loved it. We bought her dress at the Disney store and brought it with us. Everyone complimented on how cute she looked. Well worth it.

I would say that it very much depends on how much of a pinch it is on your budget.

If you are better off than most, then it might be worth doing once.

If you are pinching pennies to take this trip and watching every dime? Well, you certainly can do this on your own for a fraction of the cost and some creativity.

We did it for DD10's birthday and she really truly enjoyed the whole thing. DD8 joined her and they are set for the rest of their lives. We won't be doing that again. May do the pipsqueek in a few years.

We also did CRT that day.

We made it a big deal. But that was our last time at Disney for a while as well as we moved to Virginia.

Your child won't be emotionally scarred for not doing it. The only issue we saw that day from admirers is that DD10 had a special Birthday sash that they provided her and a few moms asked us where we got it and once we told them, they were disappointed to not be able to get one. But you could easily make your own version of a sash at home as well.

They do let you bring your own costume though--so if you did just the base package, it wouldn't be too bad. We paid for the experience...not just the look.

HTH!
