We have ressies for BBB at DTD on the Sunday night of our stay. We are going to MK on Monday. Will the hairstyles still be standing on Monday morning (granted they don't dunk their heads under water or something!)? My sister is afraid the hairstyles won't last for our MK day (her DD is 3, my DD's are 4&8), but I thought I'd heard the styles could actually last a couple of days.

Experiences?

Good news. Yes, their hair from BBB will be intact for a long time. Just take out the crown while they sleep and re-shape their hair the next day. We have two DDs 7 and 5, and have been to BBB several times. Just don't go swimming until you are ready for their hair to come back to normal. Have fun!

When my girls had it done a few years ago (they're teens now), we went on our second day, and they still had the hairstyles when we went home 3 days later. I tried to convince them to let me wash their hair, but they wanted their friends to see it so we left it all in until we got home!

My oldest got the pop princess and she washed it out the second night. It would have lasted longer but she wanted down. we just took the extensions out the first night and it didnt move at all.

My youngest wanted the bun down the first night because it was tight. It would have lasted though.

MyDD had the diva style and it lasted three days, with swimming (I took the extensions out for swimming then refixed it the next morning. The last day she wore the hair up still but kept the extensions out)

You could wrap her hair in a scaf. Look it up on YouTube. That's how women with ethnic hair make the style last a week or two.

Thought I should warn you that it also depends on the child and their endurance for that type of hairstyle. If you have one with a sensitive head, don't be surprised if they won't leave it in overnight. We have done BBB several times and my DD will NOT go to bed with the hairstyle in. She wants it out and she wants all the stuff washed out of her hair. Also, the year we got the bun style, she was complaining within an hour or two that it was too tight and was giving her a headache, and within a couple of hours after that, she was at the point where I had to actually take it down in the park because she couldn't take it anymore. If they are sensitive to that kind of thing, they might not be willing to keep the hairstyle in until the next day. I think the best hairstyle for someone with a sensitive head is probably the diva. That is the one that DD never complained about, and I think we did it twice. She still wanted it out before bed, but she actually considered sleeping on that one before she decided it wasn't going to happen. The courtyard hairstyle with the rolls (the one that usually comes with the Tutu and t-shirt) wasn't as bad as the bun, but it bothered her. She did leave that one in until the end of the day, but she was complaining by evening. I can't say I blame her because it was so tight it looked like her face had plastic surgery! I think it was just our FGIT did it really tight though. DD said that was the only time she had been to BBB when it actually hurt when they did the hairstyle.

I will second this. My daughter slept with the bun hair style 2 years in a row so that she got 2 days out of the experience. Last year, when we got back to the hotel, she insisted that I wash her hair. I was like :confused3 I was annoyed because I had wanted it to last for another day. The style itself should last, but maybe your child won't ;)
