I am planning on buying princess dresses before we go on our trip. Can they wear them to BBB?

Yea you can. Here are a couple of dresses my DD wore.

This one my mom found at walmart on sale for $5!!!!!

This one we found at walmart too. It was $20.

I couldnt afford the prices of the dresses at the BBB. WE just put her in the dresses before we took her and she got her hair done. IMO, our dresses were just as pretty as the ones at BBB!!!

I was told you absolutely can bring your own dress and was suggested to do a comfortable cotton one instead of an itchy Disney one. I was also advised to bring the dress to BBB and have dd change into there (just to add to the experience). I plan on attempting to make dd one.

Glad you asked this b/c I was wondering the same thing. I was also thinking of how to save some $$$ with taking 2 princesses to BBB next spring.

Thanks.

I just wanted to agree w/ pp. You can take the dress in with you and use their changing rooms to get the "whole" experience.

Definitely take your own dress! Not only is it way cheaper but it will likely be even nicer than the ones there! Plus, your daughter's dress will be unique and she won't look the same as anyone else! I did this with my daughter in Dec. 08 and she loved it, everyone raved about her dress (I bought it for under 20.00 at Halloween from a local grocery store!). If I remember correctly the dresses there start at $50 and go up!

It is a fantastic experience, my daughter and I both got the makeovers (no dress for me though :rotfl:). I let her pick out my hair style and everything, our FGIT even worked with her to keep my style a secret from me until they turned me to the mirror! Have fun and get lots of photos!!! :thumbsup2

We do boutique dresses for BBB...made with cotton, not itchy, not too hot for warmer months, and more cost effective. More importantly, bring comfy shoes. Princesses can wear Crocs ;) Those princess dress up shoes are horrible. We've even brought glittery ballet flats with us and still had to change into Crocs because they cut up DD's feet when she tried to walk around Disney all day with them

We plan on bringing our own dress, but was unsure if DD should wear it to BBB or change at BBB. I'm planning on a cotton dress, probably an Ollie Girls dress, so it will be more comfortable and cooler for DD in the heat.
