I've heard that they are bring The bibbity bobbity boutique to Disneyland!! I know they are closing Libby Lu at DTd which does almost the same thing as BBB. Can anyone tell me if this is true?

Yes it is true.
Unfortunately, Club Libby Lu, is closing for certain. I think that is too bad. For so many girls of all ages, just loved it. And the pricing was most excellent too. BBB, can be very expensive in comparison.
I will look for link info. I do not have it handy at the moment.

"Disneyland will be opening its own version of the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique where a Fairy Godmother-in-training offers young girls a dream-come-true "Princess makeover" with various choices and combinations of makeup, hairstyle, nails, etc. The new location will open in April in Fantasyland where the Once Upon a Time shop currently is."

I am just so excited to read this!!!! Yeah, Merry Christmas!!! Can't wait to read and see more on this.:goodvibes

This linkwill give one a very good idea as to what BBB, will be like at Dl.
I figure as far as variety and pricing goes. For I do not know if Dl.'s boutique will look like the one at WDW. I am thinking if anything, to an uncertain degree, it will not. Because it is my understanding that the area in Dl. where their BBB will be taking place, is not nearly of the size that exists at WDW. So perhaps if anything, it will be a scaled down version of it, but with the same rather high price range, and same availability of merchandise and services.

Service and prices are as follows:

"DISNEY'S SECRET STAR": the Super Star Hannah Montana Makeover -- costs $109.95. The package also includes a wig, T-shirt, headset, makeup kit, guitar purse and a photo shoot with a commemorative photo. (Only available at the Downtown Disney location.)

COOL DUDE: includes Hair Style, Colored Gels/Sparkles, Mickey Face Stencil: $7.50 (no tax on this service)

COACH: includes Hair Style, Shimmering Makeup, Princess Sash: $49.95 + tax

CROWN: includes Hair Style, Shimmering Makeup, Nails, Princess Sash: $54.95 + tax

CASTLE: includes Hair Style, Shimmering Makeup, Nails, Princess Sash, Princess Costume and Shoes, Crown, Wand, and Imaging Package, which includes 1 - 6x8 and 4 - 4x6 photos in a beautifully themed photo holder: Price range is $189.95 - $249.95 + tax.

NOTE: Price range is determined by the choices of Princess Costume and Shoes.

Some general rules for all little girls and boys:

-- children must be at least 3 years old.
-- hair must be freshly clean and brushed out (no tangles)
-- hair must be free of all styling aids/products like gels, mousse, hair spray, barettes, etc.
-- fingernails must be clean and free of all nail polish/decals
-- child must bring their own brush/comb with them for the Fairy Godmother to use
-- scalp must be free and clear of any "conditions" or irritations for the last 30 days

So I'm sure they'll be taking out the little makeover station they have a Princess Fantasy Fair since it's pretty much the same thing?

Your welcome! Remember to visit the Mansion and the pirates for me, on your next visit. :)

No, right now at Princess Fantasy Fair towards the back if you just keep walking past the meet and greet and the little store they have a station set up with about 4 or so chairs and they do little makeovers just like they do at BBB and Club Libby Lu. They have CMs doing hair and makeup.

I do not recall hearing anything or reading otherwise, that PFF is going to end. I just cannot remember about that right now. I will have to check it out. I am pretty sure that it will still be offered.

I was taking a look again, at the PFF information on Disney's site. Nothing was stated regarding the makeover offers ending.
I believe that Disneyland will keep PFF the way that it is. Hopefully that will be the case anyway. For the pricing is different for PFF, when it comes to hair and makeup. I have a link somewhere, on this forum. I will look for it, it is regarding PFF pricing etc.
Who knows, maybe Dl will do away with that portion of PFF. By doing so, one would have to pay more at BBB, over all.
That would not be nice.

O.K. found it. :) At the time of my posting, the information was current and correct. I had called Dl. at that time, to ask about the pricing, for another thread, that someone had begun, asking about these sorts of services.

Princess fantasy fair, is located in Fantasy land, the pricing for basic hairstyling, with hair accessories at PFF, is $7.00-$15.00 per person, and for a full up-do, and additional hair accessories is $30.00 per person.

That is from my post on this thread:

If one reads that thread, one will see how great the pricing level difference is between PFF, BBB and Club Libby Lu.

I see it as being most unfortunate for Club Libby Lu, with regards to the company closing all of the stores, and for all of the workers whom will be joining the over 8% unemployment rate for California. As well as for all whom enjoyed and were looking forward to their services.

Now it is quite fortuitous for Disneyland, to be opening BBB at their park.

I heard BBB was opening in Feb. 09'. Anyone else hear this? My dd went to the BBB in WDW this year and that was her favorite thing, forget the 8 other days or the Disney cruise!!!!!
I am going to take her back at DL, Spoiled little thing! She is already bugging me , when can she get boutiqued again. I did her hair just like the BBB for the Mickey's Halloween Party and she looked awesome, it is not hard to learn to do.
But, it is the experience with the camera's and the Fairy Godmother-in-training. So fun to be a little girls mommy!

Well according to laughing place.com, it is in April that it will be opening. It is possible, that it may open earlier. If I find an update regarding the opening of BBB at Disneyland, I will most definitely post it.

:tinker: It is opening... It will be where the once upon shop is in fantasyland. The fantasy faire is closing it's face painting etc. The only thing that will stay is the Royal Coronation Ceremony and meet and greet. The Opening date is slated to be April 4th or 5th.

I wish they would leave the face painting over by the PFF....and the story time and everything else they are taking away. I'm all for putting in a BBB but why change the PFF so much? Not everyone can afford to do BBB for their little Princesses....

Yes I do know that it is opening. I had stated the same information on page 1.
Now I did not know for sure, whether or not Disney was going to continue PFF in as so far as the hair styling et al. is concerned. So therefore thank you for that update. I have not read that anywhere as of yet. What is your source please. TIA
