We are going to be celebrating our DD's 6th birthday with a makeover at the BBB followed by lunch at Ariel's. We're planning on doing this on Labor Day, Monday 9/5. If we are doing the BBB package that includes the dress and pictures, would 90 minutes be enough time between our BBB ressie and AG ressie?

Thanks!

I did this for my daughter's 5th birthday last summer. Between the time taken for choosing the outfit, the makeover and photos, it was a good hour (or little more). I scheduled her makeover for the first thing in the morning and then we took our time walking from Fantasy Land to California Adventures where Ariel's Grotto is. I always like to plan for extra time...so for me, I'd be a little worried about 90 min. being enough time.

But then, that's how my Dad raised me....if I'm not 1/2 hour early for something, I'm late. LOL LOL

Your daughter will love her makeover and lunch with Ariel and the other princesses....my daughter was in height of glory all day long....everyone called her princess...including other guests at the park. :-)

Thanks for your response. I just called and moved the reservation at the BBB back 30 minutes, so now we have 2 hours in between. I certainly don't want our DD to be rushed. I want her to enjoy every minute of it! And, I'm like you, I'd rather be 15 minutes early than 5 minutes late! Thanks again!

Glad to help....be sure to let us know how she liked her Princess Makeover and lunch with all the princesses. We are going next summer and my youngest asked immediately if she was going to be a princess again....I told her "you will always be a princess....but Mommy will do your makeover" LOL It was rather expensive for me as a single Mom...but I was something I knew I'd regret not doing for her since she is such a girly girl and loves the princesses. :-) I don't regret it one bit!

I'll definitely post our experience. It is expensive and I expect this will be our only time doing this. At least we got a PIN code in the mail yesterday which is going to save us quite a bit off our hotel! Thanks again!

We did this also, I just wish I could remember our booking times so I could help you out. I think 2 hours will be fine. When we were walking from BBB to AG, we got stopped by a lot of people so they could take her photo :) We caught the double decker bus to the entrance, stopped to visit Donald, hopped over to DCA, stopped and took photos under the bridge, visited Minnie and then went and waited a little to get in. I'll look through my diary and see if I can find the times. I'm glad you gave yourself and an extra 30 minutes.

Oh my gosh....you just reminded me of what happened to my youngest...we were near Toon Town in a little shaded sitting area and she was being her cute "princess self" twirling around, etc. and we had several groups stop and ask if they could have their picture taken with a "real princess". She ate it up!!! LOL Just another example of why Disneyland is so special...everyone goes out of their way for little girls who are living out their princess dreams. :-) I can't wait to go back....it's going to be a LONG 11 months. LOL

Here are a couple of the professional pics that were taken of my daughter last summer after her makeover.

Hope this works...I've never done it before. LOL

I did not even know they had a bbb at disneyland. I am so excited to hear this!!!!!:cheer2:

I cannot view the pictures (is it just my computer??)

Ok....guess it didn't work. Here is a link to my online album.

BBB Pics - June 2010

If you have any other questions or would like to see more pics let me know. I have pics of the process too. :-)

Omg, gorgeous pictures!!!!!

Did you do the most expensive package where they get the gown/shoes/crown? ( That is the only one that includes the pictures right or can you do photos with any of the packages?)

I did do the most expensive package...I figured it was gonna be a "once in a lifetime" event. The little decorative border I put on when I got home and played around with the photo pass pics CD.

Here's what the packages are:
Services and prices are as follows:

KNIGHT PACKAGE: Includes hair-styling, as well as a sword and shield.

COACH: includes Hair Style, Shimmering Makeup, Princess Sash: $49.95 + tax

CROWN: includes Hair Style, Shimmering Makeup, Nails, Princess Sash: $54.95 + tax

CASTLE: includes Hair Style, Shimmering Makeup, Nails, Princess Sash, Princess Costume and Shoes, Crown, Wand, and Imaging Package, which includes 1 - 6x8 and 4 - 4x6 photos in a beautifully themed photo holder: Price range is $189.95 - $239.95 + tax.

Keep in mind that you will get every pic they take during the transformation too...not just the professional ones. So you will have a lot of pictures to play with on your photo pass. I personally didn't mind paying the price (it wasn't quite 239.95) because it was also my daughters birthday present.

The princess will also get to bring home the little makeup tray they use and the nail polish bottle (which has a crown for the lid). Oh...and the little jewel that they adhere to the cheek has others on the sheet that she'll get to keep too.

Hope this helps.

Oooh, Thanks for the info. I don't mind paying that price, it is mostly a one time thing and the memories are so worth it! I didn't know that they take pictures during everything, that is cool!

Do the girls get to pick out any princess dress/outfit they want?
About how many photos did you end up getting all together?

Yes, the girls get to decide what princess or character (they have Minnie Mouse, Tinkerbell and another that I can't think of off the top of my head) they want to become. Right up front you tell the Fairy Godmother in training at the register which package you'll be purchasing so they know what pieces to pull. My daughter has a thing for Belle and so it was pretty cool for her to have them walk her to her dressing room and pull the curtains back to reveal all the pieces of her ensemble set out in a perfect display for her.

It really was a very, very special time for her...at the very end, when she was totally made over, they turned her to face the mirror and said the magic words and the curtains pulled back from the mirror and she saw herself all made up and she gasped. :-) I will try and put more photos in my album and those who want to see the process can click on the link in the message above.

I think the photographer took about 20 pictures....and then she went into the photo area for the professional type pics.

Hope this helps....

Cindy, thank you so much for posting the link to the pics. Your daughter is super cute. I know our DD is going to love this!

You are so welcome! Thank you for the compliment....she's a blessing to me (adopted from Vietnam).

You're daughter will LOVE the experience....be forewarned though....she will forever be a princess afterwards. ;-) Gotta love it!! I've told me little one more than a few times that while she may be a princess, I am the Queen Mom! LOL princess:

Thanks so much for all the info and pics Cindy. I would love to see the others once you get them back. The pics are just to precious! I cannot wait to take my DD next year. Now I gotta work an extra $200 in the budget, lol. Good thing I still have about a year to plan and save up!:goodvibes

I have the pictures already...they were on the photo pass CD that I ordered. I put most of the pics in my album....were there any specific things you'd like to see? I can add other photos...they just are similar to other pics that I've posted already. Just let me know.

Also, it's well worth the money considering the magic that swirls around this incredible experience. I wish I could justify allowing my daughter to experience it again....but alas, I can't. Darn it! LOL
