BBB and Pirates?

Hi everyone.

Our family is making a quick trip to DW in January (4 days). We will be going back within 12 months so I am not going to try to do it all during this trip, but I would like to do one special thing for each of us. We have the Royal Breakfast scheduled for 8:55 and I was wondering if you think l would have enough time for an appointment for DD with BBB before hand (assuming I can even get an appointment). How long does it take to do hair and make up? I'm just afraid that we'll be stressing about the time and not enjoying the experience.

Also, my DD (almost 3) LOVES pirates. Is there anything in his age group that he would enjoy.

We just got back and I had the same question before I left. We decided to not to push it so we did the breakfast one day and the BBB another day. We were going to do the crown package at the BBB and they said it would take about 30 minutes - the FGIT spent a good hour with our DD (3.5).

My suggestion is to either schedule it afterwards or another day. We also found that the BBB in DTD was fairly empty since the Castle one opened up. Also they can do boys hair and make him a pirate for just $10 at the BBB. We saw several boys doing this.

I know when we were there last month, they had pink hair extensions with pirate "flair" if you will... I forget exactly what, like little pirate skulls and whatnot. If I'd known that, I may have gotten my hair done myself!! The girls both got the fairy princess bun though, so no extensions for us... but the option is there if you do one of the other looks.

That being said, I don't know how early their appointments start, but you'll be in for a rough morning if you try and squeeze it in before breakfast... I suppose it could be done, but we had to wait about half an hour for our appointment, and didn't get out of there until at least an hour after our scheduled time.
