We are planning our Sept. visit. on our last day we wanted to take our DD to BBB. She will be 10 days shy of her third birthday. Does anyone think this is going to be an issue? I know the age limit is 3, but where she is so close I'm hoping it will be alright. She has long fine hair, and loves to get done up with her makeup and nails! Any thoughts?

The age limit is due to the makeup they use. It is not tested on children under 3. Also, if she has very fine hair, I would be concerned that it would put a lot of stress on her hair. The only way you can do BBB is if you lie and say she is 3, but you will also need to coach her to say she is 3 because they will ask her, and likely more than once (at check in and by the FGIT who does the makeover). I would not do it, but only you can decide. Technically, they could ask to see her park ticket, but probably won't.

Thanks!! I'm still debating! Thanks for the info!

You're welcome. Another option would be to fix her hair yourself and just stop by the BBB for a sprinkling of pixie dust. They also do younger children's hair at the Harmony Barber Shop.

I'm sure you've picked the dates you have for a good reason, but is there any chance you could shift your trip so she turns 3 while you are there? Since she'd be 2 at the start of your trip, she could still get in free, eat free if sharing, etc., but then actually be 3 on your BBB day.

My girls are old enough to do bbb but we won't do it with them because of how tight they pull their hair, it's very tight and stuck to their heads and I can't see how it would be comfortable all day long. I would do with a pp said and style her hair at the hotel in the same manner, dress her up from a dress you bring with you or buy at the park and then let them sprinkle her a little with the pixie dust. I wouldn't be overly concerned about the makeup being anything that would hurt her or the sprays or anything like that tho.

You pretty much got the best advice you could get on the matter with these two posts.

A little warning. I see you are new here. Threads that deal with age limits and ask if its really a "rule" tend to get out of hand.

My suggestion is to not come back to this thread or at least not read too much into the replies. :thumbsup2

This I could not do unfortunately.. Schedules wouldn't allow it!!

I heard they can do it a little looser. But, your suggestion is my next best option, I'm one I'm seriously considering instead. Only because idk if my DD would sit through strangers touching her hair, at two or three years old!! Thanks for the suggestion!!

Thanks for the suggestion!! Although, I'm not trying to ruffle any feathers to trying I "beat" any kind of system(as some may say)!! I just don't know if the BBB in general would really make a big deal of it because she's only a few days shy of that third birthday! She had worn makeup, hair products, and nail polish before so I know she'd love it!
Hope no one does get too serious or offended or anything!!
With all the suggestions, I'm leaning towards not doing it anyway. Only because I don't thinking daughter would let strangers get near her hair!! Whether she's 2, 3, or 4 I think I have a little ways to go on letting strangers give her a makeover!!
Again, thanks for letting me know

Last year we went with family friends and her little girl did not turn 3 until the next week. We were honest when booking and it was not an issue. They let us book and not one person asked her how old she was. Worth a try!

If you get her hair done at bbb, wouldn't they give you looks coming through the gates if she didn't have a ticket? (Meaning of course you came back without washing it all out...)

Who is to say it wasn't done in the room? A lot of Moms do it his way to save money, time, hassle, etc.

Buy a dress and shoes, put hair up in a bun, add glitter, and add makeup. Easy peasy.

Right, but you'd still have to buy the dress if you're going to DIY the makeover.

Ok what if I buy the dress at a garage sale or the day after halloween. :thumbsup2

Got to think outside the box to save for WDW. :goodvibes

We are giving up having a second car for now.

You should be fine within 10 days. Disney actually has an official built in grace period for the age limit at BBB but I don't recall what it is exactly. There's a disboard thread for BBB that probably has the answer.
