Le Special de Monte Cristo - Turkey, ham and Swiss cheese in a battered egg bread, lightly fried to a golden brown. Choice of two sides: Blue Bayou potatoes, seasonal vegetables or sauteed spinach. $21.99

Ok is this really big enough for two adults? (Capt Bane would have my saled so that in it self might help)
also what kind of veggies are there?
do the meals come with a drink or do we buy one sepret?

ty in advanced were just planing our day by day meal by meal and I wanted to check and make sure.
also do they charge tip or do we leave it our self?

They don't charge for gratuity unless you're in a larger party, I think. I haven't actually had the BB meal, but I had the same thing at Cafe N.O. My mom and I shared it. It was plenty! We had fries with it, and no appetizer as far as I remember. I believe my 5 yr old shared it with us as well. Drinks are not included, as far as I know.

Somewhere I read that someone said they charge you a fee to split a plate at the BB. I can't confirm this, but it would be good to check ahead of time to be sure.

Drinks are not included. There is a plate splitting charge and the entree and side dishes are split evenly among the plates.

When I was there I think I managed to finish 1/4 of my monte christo, and had maybe 1 or two bites of the 2nd 1/4.
We had gumbo apetiser first, and I was stuffed... So IMO, plenty!

I would skip the vegetables and get double order of potatoes they are the best.

I would say it is enough for 2 people the sandwich comes in 4 peaces so you would get 2 peaces and potatoes and your other would get the same the split charge I think is $4.75.

Then you would buy your drinks and then get a dessert the boat dessert is great and split it also.

ok ty its 4dollers for the lunch to split it so we each get our own potatos and 2 pieces of the sandwitch and get my son the pb,j one
and if i havbe to buy a drink ill get the pirate punch hehe it was good.
we can do the meal and desert for 42dollers so not bad

I agree with what someone said about skipping the veggies- ask for a double serving of potatoes. The veggies never seem cooked right whenever I've order.

And yes, they do charge a split plate fee. It's $4.99 I think.

The evenly split your entire meal onto two plates. I know some people used to report that you each got a full serving of salad and a full serving of the sides- not anymore. the entire dish is literally split.

But that said, I ordered the monte cristo at cafe orleans and couldn't finish it- and it didn't even come with a salad or sides! So it is most definitely splitable!

Veggies aren't usually that great, I much preferred the potatoes. Yes, you can share and pay the split charge and it will be enough for sure. Drinks are extra and desserts are yum!

Jade, we love the waterside tables. The atmosphere is wonderful and you can watch the POTC boats go by and hear the crickets. They best way to do it is to get the first PS reservation. For lunch, I think it's 11:30 or so. Make sure you tell them that you want a waterside table. Then check in about 15 minutes early for your ressie and repeat the waterside table request.

That's our favorite of all the character breakfasts. The food is good, there are lots of familiar characters, and when you are finished with breakfast, you are right there in the park ready to start your day.

hehe ty i hope its better then lunch tho if we went to lunch again id get the fish now and hed get the samon blt thing and wed make sure ds didnt get the mac and chess lol but we are doing breakfast so we wil hope its good.

bb i cant wait to sit waterside with my new cam and taking so mnay pics of restrants and rides and so many things im gona have fiun with my new baby

I've eaten the Monte Cristo by myself, but it was at Cafe Orleans, so it did not come with two sides. I did order a house salad and a cup of French Onion soup to supplement my meal.

Monte Cristo.....yum!
