BB-8 and Kylo Ren..

Has anyone done these meet and greets? Were they amazing? How long did you meet with BB-8? And was Kylo Ren the same brat he was in the movie? How in character is he? I can't wait to toy with him next year lol
I didn't know they were available when we went Feb of this year. They're on my list for next year for sure! I can't wait to meet both of them!

We did Kylo Ren and it was awesome. The cast member was in character and we were there for probably 4-5 minutes. They took a bunch of pictures with our phones as well. Haven't done BB8 but will in September

BB8 was fun. He talks in his usual beeps and the photographer "translates" for you. We were kinda rushed through there, but it was May 4th, so it might be different on other days.

We met Kylo Ren while my son was in his kylo ren costume. He immediately welcomed him as his little protege and it was really funny. He has a few phrases he can say which was cool. He is very much in character. He brushed away my daughter who was being fresh and told her not to interfere. She thought this was hilarious. The little kylo loved it.

Done both. My Kylo Ren interaction was meh - but hey - I'm a Jedi.... (Okay - not really, but)

BB-8 was fun - the interpreter of the beeps did a good job. I'm tall - and even though he is on a pedestal - I still wish I had bent down to be more his height in a photo. And yep - I just made BB-8 male........ I really need a new pronoun for a droid - they don't have a gender....

Couple weeks ago met BB-8. Waited about 10 minutes. Was a cute meet.

Don't know how long Kylo line was as we have met him twice, both extremely disappointing and I won't bother again. Our Kylo(s) stood in corner, no interaction, just dumb waste of time.

BB-8 m&g was so much fun, DD and I both loved the interaction and photo ops. Kylo on the other hand was a complete bust. He didn't move or say anything, just stood silently in place. My DD(8) said out loud, mom is that a mannequin??? I tried several times to interact with him by saying things like the force was strong with my DD but we got nothing from him.

Correct just like CAS239 stated they will take pictures with your phone. Hopefully you will have a good experience. Ours was really good. The cast member was giving my brother in law some grief. He was wearing a Han Solo shirt and it was fun watching the interaction.

Call Kylo by his real name. If you get a good CM he doesn't like it. He menaced me out of the room (he actually was a little intimidating). I was not the slightest bit interested in meeting him but DD wanted to and I was better than expected.

BB8 was more interactive (with help from his interpreter) than I expected as well. He was fun.

Our Kylo Ren was interactive, even giving my dd grief for taking a selfie with him on the way out. Made for a hilarious picture!
BB8 was cute and he had the longest wait, but it was only about 10-15 minutes.
Don't forget about Chewbacca! He was "hugs all around" and very lively.

Haven't done BB-8 because he wasn't meeting last time I went, but I say don't miss Kylo Ren. His waits weren't long when I went and I would've gone more if I had more days and time. If you have something Star Wars related, I think it helps with his interaction. I say also, wait until he engages you and starts talking (hoping he is talking, I've seen times that seem like it wasn't working) and proceed from there. I guess a lot of people start talking from the get go and get a bit disappointed when he starts talking about something else He's fun in a "let's wait and see what "fun" thing he comes up with" and sometimes he gets all up on your face.

Also, don't forget about Chewbacca like the person above said!!!!

Did both the regular line & VISA card line for Kylo Ren. Both were very rushed.
And I got no response from comments or questions. Does he have pre-programmed phases?

We met both, along with Chewbacca one week ago. We went late (around 9pm) and had no more than about a 2-3 minute wait for any of them. None of the interactions were rushed at all, and all were in character and fun.

My kids (ages 9 and 4) were slightly intimidated by Kylo Ren. He told them he could feel the force was strong in them, and he had them pose with their hand out while he did the same. One of our photo pass pictures shows everyone in their pose with my four year old giving a Kylo Ren a very vary side-eye look. It's hysterical!

We were not thrilled with our BB-8 meeting. No beeps, no interaction. Just the cast members hurrying us to take the picture and move along. I think they took 2 pics and that was it. Chewbacca was great. We hugged and jumped and got a ton of pics. Kylo was a good interaction, but my 9 year old couldn't help but laugh every time he tried to be menacing.
