Saw the movie today. Very good, reaffirmed my believe Disney is in on the track to another renaissance. If they pull a Lion King or Beauty and the Beast it will be official IMO.
I think Tangled, Ralph, Frozen, and BH6 is already just about as good at Lion King, BatB, Little Mermaid, and Aladdin. Not quite, but at least on the same level.

Those are probably fighting words around here but I agree with you.
I know a lot of people miss traditional animation, and just can't see the current process in the same way. I hope Disney gets the Meander methodology perfected soon so we can see a new "hand drawn" feature in the next few years.
Ugh, great. I was afraid that would happen. I blame Frozen. People are trying to get ahead of the curve now. I was really hoping the animation class would have no wait and I could just pop in and do it whenever.
The animation class has had a pretty consistent wait for a while now, long before Baymax showed up. It hasn't been the walk-in attraction it used to be in at least a few years.

Thanks. I had no idea. People complain about DHS being a half day park, but it's the one I'm struggling with the most scheduling when I'll do everything. Especially not knowing how early I need to line up for shows.
Is it because Baymax is too short or that Hiro is too tall so the proportion is off? I'm assuming there is a "friend" in there right and its just not a stuffed doll?
Just saw the movie and I'm thinking Baymax is around 6 feet tall so its not an issue if he was 7 feet tall and they would then need very tall "friends".
But my problem now is that I now have to figure out hoe to make a Baymax costume for my niece for next Halloween. Oh and she hasn't seen the movie yet and she doesn't know that that's what she is going to be.
I saw the movie yesterday, it was excellent! I really enjoyed it, and the Pixar short before it. I'm surprised the M&G is already so popular, but that's a good sign for the movie.

For anyone who misses hand drawn Disney animation this is where your hope for the future lies. They used the same Disney Meander process that the short Paperman was produced with.
They are not going to make any more purely hand drawn features (if for no other reason, because they can't cash in on 3D movies that way) but this combines the two with amazing results so far. Early signs were that this is how Moana was going to be produced but now they say that the technology isn't far enough yet.

Baymax is capable of walking, moving his arms, and blinking and he definitely has a "friend." Proportion-wise, Hiro may be a tad tall for the role but Baymax himself is similar to Goofy in height.
This is a must do for us. We were going to skip HS but now that they have the Frozen sing along and Baymax we will have to go. When is the best time to see them.. right away?
Hiro and Baymax begin meeting at 10:00 and it continues through until 2:00. They begin again at 2:30 until 6:30 or so. First thing in the morning or before the 2:30 return may have the shortest waits.
