Baymax and Hiro are gone??

I just checked Steve Soare's website to see the entertainment times for our visit next week. My daughter REALLY wants to meet Hiro and Baymax - and for the last month or so, they've been at the Magic of Disney Animation.

Since we'll only be in the Studios for an evening, I wanted to make sure we didn't miss them. But when I checked their meeting times, they weren't even listed! The characters as Animation include Mickey, Minnie, and the Incredibles.

Not so Incredible.

Did they move Hiro and Baymax somewhere else?? He's not listed as being anywhere else in the Studios...

Hiro and Baymax are characters in M&Gs and not listed under Entertainment. Here is their set schedule according to Kennythepirate.com

10:30 AM - 11:15 AM
11:30 AM - 12:15 PM
12:30 PM - 01:15 PM
02:30 PM - 03:15 PM
03:30 PM - 04:15 PM
04:30 PM - 05:15 PM
05:30 PM - 06:15 PM

Steve's site also lists M&G times... that's why I'm confused. I saw the times on Kenny's site too. I searched on the Disney website but nothing came up for Big Hero 6, Hiro, or Baymax.

Edited to add: on the Disney Blog it states that they should be there through mid-January... maybe there's hope...

Okay, after some digging... found this on Kenny's website.


The schedule for the Big Hero 6 characters isn’t listed on the Times Guide, it isn’t mentioned on Disney’s app, it isn’t mentioned on Disney’s website and it’s not mentioned on any of Disney’s internal schedules that Cast Members only can preview. I had to keep visiting the meet and greet over and over to get the actual schedule.


So it's just that Disney doesn't have them listed. Whew. Okay, back to regular life now. Thanks for the help.

We met them at DHS in the animation building. I had read on the boards that is where they would be but thought it was odd they were not listed on the "TImes Guide" for M&G or entertainment. It was like they were kept secret... However it was not secret, very long line to see them!!!! Now this was over T-day week so hopefully it won't be as bad when you go.

They will be in the Animation Building next week - confirmed. My DD is a character performer and even though she no longer does M&Gs, she can confirm they are not going anywhere anytime soon.

We met them yesterday! We started waiting in line at 1:30 for his 2:30 appearance.

Thanks for the heads up as to how long the wait is to see them. We will be there the end of January and hopefully the wait won't be as bad. My kids can't wait to meet them .

Wow, that's quite the wait. I'm glad, though, to hear that they're still there. My kids would be heartbroken to find that they'd left already! Even my DH is set on meeting them during our Christmas trip.

I hope Hiro and Baymax continue even though there may be problems keeping Baymax inflated. Maybe Hiro and GoGo or Honey Lemon can meet instead?

Here now, and Baymax is meeting with Hiro. But now sure we'll make it before the next battery recharge. We got in line at 2:05, and at 2:53, we're only halfway through. One unfortunate note: we've noticed an increase in rude people and line jumpers, maybe because of the long wait....? Fingers crossed we'll be up front by 3:15.

So we finally got through - met Baymax and Hiro at 3:35, after a battery recharge and a total 90 min wait time. Way longer than planned, but kids... and DH... were over the moon. Mission accomplished.

Oh, no! I just saw this on Kenny the pirate's site. "Baymax and Hiro said to be leaving soon.

Reports are that the Big Hero 6 characters are said to be leaving by mid-January. Baymax’s batteries are difficult to keep charged, so the meet is likely to be retired soon, so be sure to see them soon. Their full schedule is also listed on the Character Locator."

Such a bummer. I had planned to visit in two weeks but changed it to April. Now I'm definitely missing them.

So sad they are leaving....we were lucky to meet them yesterday.. Kids LOVED them. Totally worth the wait!

How sad that he doesn't work as expected! We're headed down in February and were really excited to at least see them if not get in line. Is there a video anywhere of what they look like?

Would be a great way to get wait times from 90 minutes to 5 minutes.

Seriously, though Hiro is great at interacting with guests and serving as an mediator between guests and Baymax, that's really all he is and all he's there for. Everyone is there for Baymax. I don't do meet a greets but we waiting for this one and I will say it was worth it.
