Ok...I am NEVER indecisive about these kinds of things but I just can't make a decision. I booked the Bay Lake Tower on a Bounce Back in June. I has a lagoon view....never stayed there. We have a 16 month old son and thought it would be nice to take him back to the resort for naps during the day and a monorail resort would be very convenient. I have made all my ADRs and two are at the Contemporary and one is at Poly.

Well....my husband (we will be celebrating his bday) loves the Wilderness Lodge and we will be there just before xmas. It's only 20 dollars more to stay CL at WL or we would save $$ by staying in a courtyard or wood view room. We are also on the deluxe dining plan so don't really think we'd utilize the CL amenities that much but if stuck in the room with a tired baby we might use them more than we think. How inconvenient will it be to stay at WL and rely on the boat to take us to Contemporary?

I just can't decide!!!!!!

OMG!!! My vote goes to the WL all the way!!!! We just returned from a 10 night WL CL stay and it was amazing. Neither DH or I are interested in the theme at CR/BLT at all. The boat to CR was about a 10 minute ride (stops at FW first) and not a big deal...we used it to connect to the monorail resorts several times. One thing to think about is that if you will have a stroller, you will have to fold it up on the smaller boats...there are some bigger ones that you can roll it onto, though.

I agree the theme of BLT really does nothing for me. I guess I am just concerned with all our breakfast reservations that we will be rushing all the time to get from here to there.

We had reservations at CR, Poly, and GF over the course of our trip and we always left about 1 hour before reservation time and made it in plenty of time. We never felt rushed at all.

I've stayed in all three...BLT, CR and VWL. When we were at VWL, we took the boat over to the CR all the time...and we used it to then walk over to MK. The boat was quite wonderful!!!

Can you just do a regular room at WL and not the CL?? That's what I would do.

I would go with WL CL. We've never stayed at BLT, but we love the WL and CL there is amazing :thumbsup2. The lounge seating is arranged around the railing that overlooks the lobby, which is great for relaxing and taking in the atmosphere (especially during the holidays :santa:). The food offerings are great and the CL CMs are top notch, IMO ;). The WL is one of our favorite resorts and we've had two great stays there (one in a courtyard view room and one in standard CL). For us, it would be WL CL without a second thought :goodvibes.

What size villa did you book?

If it was me, I would book WL club and cancel the breakfast ressies, especially if I had only 1 child that was 16 months old. Not that a 16 month old wouldn't enjoy a character breakfast, it would just be easier IMO to have breakfast in the lounge, and use extra credits for signatures. Either way, both will be very nice!

All that was available was a studio.

Studios at BLT are the smallest of all the DVC studios. When you open the sleeper sofa, there isn't much room between the queen bed and the double sleeper sofa. The bathroom is a big larger, but the living area is small. I'd go with WL CL instead.

We have a DD that is 6 also.

That is good to know. I think we will be going with WL. Thanks for all the advice!

I think you are going to love it. Also, unless I missed someone posting this, the WL during Christmas is going to be absolutely spectacular in the way it is decorated. Enjoy and have an awesome time!! :thumbsup2
