What is the latest projection for the start of sales and the eventually opening of Disney’s Bay Lake Tower?

Has anyone posted any recent pictures’ of its construction progress?

There is no way of knowing, as the tower hasn't even been openly acknowledged by DVC as being a DVC resort in the making.

I think a lot depends upon the economy.

There have been rumors of June/July start date based on annecdodal evidence. I have no idea if these are pure speculation... or based on inside knowledge.

I've seen rumors that there are point charts for BLT, but haven't actually seen them yet. We're waiting to buy in there--I'm counting on being able to when we go down in August.

Any projections would be based on pure guesswork. People are speculating based on the way DVC has introduced new resorts in the past, or on hints/gossip from CMs who may or may not be in a position to know the facts. As others have said, Disney hasn't even publicly acknowledged that they're building something at CR. All they've done is asked the state for permission to sell timeshares at the CR.

Until Disney makes a formal announcement, it's all rumor.

What is the Bay Lake Tower? The newspaper called it the Kingdom Tower. Are we talking about the same thing? Being at WDW, 15 day Panama Canal Cruise, and Disneyland the past few days, we have attended several DVC events. No mention was ever made of the construction at the Contemporary.

Bay Lake Tower is the latest rumored name for the Contemporary Construction.

The construction permits...for whatever they are building north of the CR Tower...included a timeline that would have the project completed sometime in the fall of 2009.

And Walt Disney's public disclosures filed with the SEC back in December.

Sales haven't been publicly announced. But the nature of that structure (or at least a significant portion of it) has been announced in several different ways.
