Bay Lake Tower thread??

I think the CR is a different story. You have the front and the back of a more or less square type building. The BLT building is rounded. I would think it is possible to book Bay Lake view and still get some Theme Park view. Maybe Im wrong, thats why I asked.
You are correct that some of the rooms have both BL and MK views, though you would have to look over to your left and over to your right to see them; they wouldn't be dead-on views. There are also some STD (read: parking lot) views that have views of the MK/Wishes. I believe these are the very low level rooms.

Here is a site with a photo taken from BL of the inner crescent, to give you a better idea of what rooms are in the outer and inner crescents. The site also has a BLT review and some helpful info:

Thanks so much and great link:thumbsup2

A couple more questions: Is there a charge for internet service at BLT or is it free? Is coffee provided each day for the coffee pot? And does anyone know if that sleeper chair is actually a twin size bed or is it smaller?
Thanks again, I keep thinking of more questions;)

Since you'll be paying cash, they'll be a 9.95 charge for 24 hrs of internet, it's only free for DVC members staying on points. I'd also assume, you'd get coffee daily as they'd give you new when the room is cleaned. As for the sleeper chair, I haven't stayed at BLT, but have stayed at AKV. So assuming they're similiar it's NOT a twin, it's slightly narrower and shorter. My kids have twins at home and noticed the difference, but it didn't stop them from sleeping on it!!!!!

Thanks for the reply. I was hoping to have DS14 sleep on the chair and put my two older girls on the sofa, but I am thinking now that DS wont fit on the chair. I guess I will have to rethink my sleeping arrangements:scared1:

Unless your DS is taller then 6ft and at 14 I doubt that or an acrobatic sleeper, he'll be fine!

jel0511, my son just turned 14 yesterday and is 6 ft tall.:scared1: He said he wanted to try the sleeper chair. Do you think he will be okay. He is skinny as a bean pole so that may help.

My DS14 is 5'11" and 185 pounds (opposite of the beanpole:rotfl:)
He is more the size of an adult so Im thinking he wont be to comfy there. Guess we will have to see when we get there and thanks for the input:thumbsup2

coachbagfanatic and blessedby3, as long as they don't mind "scrunching" up a bit they'll be fine. I don't know many people who sleep on their backs fully stretched out anyway. Just be aware that IMO I think it is slightly smaller than a reg twin.

thanks jel0511, that will never work for my DS:laughing: Now we have a 2 bdrm reserved but he said he wanted to try it. Go figure. I see him as so grown up but he's still a kid.

Ah your DS could play football and my DS could be part of the goal post.:rotfl:

Since the building looks like it curves, I was wondering if some of the outside crescent would also be Bay Lake View:confused3

as stated, some lake view rooms do have a partial MK view (you usually have to actually step out onto the balcony to see the castle, though).

naturally, you are not guaranteed a view of the castle with a lake view room and may wind up on the other side of the crescent with a view of the CR and lake, or on the inside of the crescent with a view of the pool and the lake. but some of us have lucked into the partial MK view - yes.

Thanks. I actually thought I booked standard view, but my confirmation says Bay Lake View.

This person did a wonderful job of mapping the entire building. It seems confusing but take your time and re-read several times to get the full gist of the building layout.
We stayed in room 8635 - as I noted previously, our view was nothing special. We saw the pool and the lake. The downside of being 'inside the crescent' is that you face rooms directly across from you. There is also alot of noise from the pool area games so if you want to take a nap in the afternoon, you can't open the windows.
If you want a specific room or floor or area, make that known when you call for reservation or confirm.

They give you coffee each morning but only enough to make 1 pot per day. I suggest bringing it with you and don't forget coffee filters.

My son, 13/5'7"/160lbs. slept just fine in the pull out chair.
The best view, by far, is from the top of the world deck. They pipe in music during the fireworks. Even prettier is to sit up there in the early morning and watch the Magic Kingdom come to life.

This was the first thread that I read about BLT an it has a lot of great information. I do remember them saying that the room numbers are confusing but if you subtract 70 from the first two numbers of your room, that's the floor that you will be on. So now I won't be confused when we are there next July. We did request a high floor so hopefully we will get it. We already have the TPV so that's a plus.

Man my DS really is a bean pole. He only weighs 120 lbs. but he does eat. We call him Lurch.

Thanks for the link. That map is quite confusing. I guess if I read over it a few times it will become clearer- I hope! Good to hear your son slept on the chair just fine. Maybe it will work out for us too:thumbsup2
